What did you think of Infinite after the campaign showcase?

Worse, they're going to make it in line with the TV show. Chief will take his helmet off and be modeled after dipshit actor man, Keyes will be black, there will be a level with a QTE where you fuck a Covenant prisoner, etc.

ODSTs are somewhat genetically modified. I believe it’s more advanced chemical (so super steroids) modifications. They do have enhanced strength but are a disadvantage compared to a Spartan.

Gameplay-wise, ODSTs lack shields, have a lower jump, and throw their grenades differently. They also can’t dual-wield.

I think you might be mixing them up with Spartan 3s who had all of their augmentations administered chemically unlike the Spartan 2s.

To my knowledge ODSTs are just regular dudes, beyond having the 2nd best equipment the UNSC has to offer besides the Spartans. Or maybe I'm just retarded, I don't know. But that's how I remember it.

I personally didn't mind playing the remastered version of halo 1, but then again I'm not a boomer nor did I grow up with the xbox brand. I really only got to play Halo when El dewrito came out (before the C&D) and then the later release of MCC. I am going to bet that a new remaster of CE will end up turning the biggest haters of CEA into its biggest fans.

ODSTs are green beret equivalents (no augments of note), Spartan 1s (ORION) were biological augments, Spartan 2s were heavy and expensive physical and biological augments, Spartan 3s had more chemical shit to replace (*some) surgeries, and Spartan 4s have a budget version of the Spartan 3 augments.

Reminds me long ago of a video I watched where someone predicted the future of 343 halo
Infinite would be shit, then 343 would try to reboot the franchise someway and that'd fail and then halo would be dead in the water and microsoft axes them
last part probably won't happen but another nail would certainly be amusing and remaking CE may as well just be rebooting

3 fucking games (4 if you count Reach, but Reach sprint actually did something and was an equipment item, but they don't look at the Bungie games at all) and they still haven't figured out that sprint and clamber have no place in Halo. It's going to be so sterilized and modern day.
 
Fucking called it. These retards just can't leave well enough alone.

The classic Halo gameplay still holds up to this day. There is no reason to muck it up with the same unnecessary movement mechanics that already plagues the shitty 343 games.
 
Also, reminder that they're considering redoing Halo 1 AGAIN, instead of Halo 3 Anniversary or something.
We're getting ANOTHER Halo 1 remaster before Halo 3 gets anything.

there doesn't need to be a reboot of any classic halo, there didn't need to be a halo 4, 5, or infinite
could of easily just made a bunch of a spin offs, ODST 2, another prequel like Reach, a great schism themed game/side story, but no none of that is good enough apparently
 
Assuming that rumor is true, it's especially retarded to remake CE's campaign instead of porting MCC because it leaves out the other major reason people fell in love with these games in the first place. I doubt Halo would have gotten as big as it did without a solid multiplayer component behind it; it was the killer app for the Xbox and practically the only reason to buy one at launch, doubly so for Halo 2 and an Xbox Live subscription. Not only would a port probably be incredibly easy since modern consoles are just glorified PCs these days, but Playstation gamers would get a boatload of content that they could also crossplay with everyone on Xbox and PC, including multiplayer. Especially multiplayer.

Honestly, who would want to buy just the CE campaign again, but undoubtedly worse? You just know they'd charge sixty bucks for it too, or God forbid seventy.

People keep saying that the best Halo games were the ones made by Bungie, so now that 343 has destroyed the post-Halo 3 era to the point where it's forever toxic, they're going to ruin the past too.
It's the same thing that happened to other IPs like Star Trek and Star Wars.
