If we didn't live in clown world, we would have gotten HL2: Episode 3 in 2008/2009 lol

2010 would have been the sweet spot for me as that was the first year I had a gaming capable PC and Steam, plus it would have been in keeping with Valve's at least one new game a year pace they were keeping for a while, with Episode 1 in 2006, the Orange Box in 2007, Left 4 Dead in 2008 and Left 4 Dead 2 in 2009.

Instead there was Portal 2 in 2011, leaving nothing in 2010, that would have been the perfect time for Episode 3.

12 years of waiting and we get a fucking shitty VR game... i'd rather half life just stay dead

they've been working on this game for like several years man. You haven't even seen any gameplay!!!!!

i don't need to see gameplay, it's a fucking VR game, it's going to be clunky, slow and have god awful quality like all other VR games. what a shitty way of bringing back a beloved series.

15 bucks says the campaign will be shorter than 5 hours if there even will be one and it's not just a glorified virtual shooting range.

Frankly I consider this the big test of whether VR can go mainstream. Yes Half-Life 2 is just a good tech demo, but in 2004 it was one helluva tech demo.

Thursday is going to be very exciting.

When I saw that trailer I actually thought of Half Life. If Valve can do some cool shit that really takes advantage of VR it's going to be a good time, hopefully.
Yeah exactly!
