I agree on that. Gunther has some batshit insane politics but he doesn't hurt anyone, rape anyone, kill anyone, etc. and that's the best type of lolcow. It's a shame there aren't more lolcows like him who are just weird.

It isn't that complicated; he is essentially a Neo-Liberal economic Open Society kind of guy. He is pro-immigration and pro-free trade, so the protectionist elements of Trump's platform rub him the wrong way. I would probably see his point if not for the unprecedented floods of parasitic foreigners, though I completely agree that the tariffs are stupid, and think bilateral free trade between the US and Europe should be implemented.
