Japanese developers basically confirmed that Bridget started identifying as a woman in Strive. Endings don’t change this.

Some people said that this is a mistranslated version of the original interview, but I’ve yet to see confirmation of this.

Saw this on Twitter. Genuinely wonder what they think they have to gain from this? I don't want to write the Japanese off as naive, but I really don't think they understand the kind of toxic crowd they're inviting in with this decision. Like the SEGA music artist who courted Twitter troons for months and then was shocked when they unanimously agreed Shinzo Abe deserved to die.

People were also saying it was obvious from the game, as if it wasn't retconning 20 years of character development. I wonder if they just couldn't think of anywhere else for his character to go to keep him feminine.
 
My takeaway from this is that it's now canon that all these twitter wokes are excited over a character who literally got groomed into being a troon since childhood.

At least a good portion of Japs probably buy into retard wokie ideology now. Including ArcSys, it was probably inevitable given the attention and money they give to Japanese entertainment nowadays. Hell twitter bitches every other day about anime not meeting their demands so I wouldn't be shocked if some companies started pandering them like western companies have. I also wouldn't be shocked if they genuinely believed in this move too, there are a decent number of people in Japan that buy into progressive ideology, it just looks different to how Americans do it. That and companies in Japan are retarded enough to put offices in California and immediately adopt troon politics.
 
In any case, I don't expect there's going to be any change to how the image gallery website tag Bridget content.

Japan created the plague of modern anime (Franxx, Shinkai films, AOT and Promised Neverland getting shit endings, LN adaptations) and yet somehow they are praised as gods. Fucking kill me.
 
I would love to see the devs trolling the fandom by making Bridget more masculine and buff but sadly it won't happen in this era.
I also don't think this will end well because people jerk off to Bridget because he has a feminine penis and calling him a tru n honest girl will just not make the trap fetish meaningful anymore. So the slow woke colonialism of japan is bearing fruit.
 
And Bridget topped the most-wanted character for Japan. That's gotta be a hell of a monkey paw. Anyone who voted for Bridget did so because they liked him as is. Then the first thing they do after their long absence is ruin the reason everyone voted them in.

We'll have to see how much this brave and stunning change affects the enthusiasm of Japan's most requested character. If Bridget tanks, then it's pretty likely that ArcSys will shelve the character for another long absence. This may very well have killed Bridget. Considering they're now Trans, that's quite poetic.

Not sure how true that is given the backlash Pokemon got with their girly boy Grisha(?) and boyish girl Penny(?) plus the amount of black people they keep putting in the games.
