I could tolerate rampant faggotry, leftoid writing and even bugs up the ass for months after release, but if jeets are going to invade my region, I'm done.

Shoah'd when too many people noticed. Of course other than instantly locking thread of the nooticer, no acknowledgement of a massive fuckup was given.

Weird that they even brought him on in the first place; I don't think Garo's ever done anything with GW2 at all, and it's not like his rep is hidden. Like the comments said, ANet really didn't bother to do their research... or maybe they did, knowing how woke the game/company is...

The trigger-happy stalkers they call a mod team have scared away every bigger streamer. Nobody who built a 3- or 4 digit audience wants these schizos pressing a gun to their heads. Even Teapot and Mukluk are variety streamers at this point.
So Arenanet are happy for anyone with more than 15 ccv they can get. I doubt they do background checks for stuff like this.

Could you elaborate? I recall Vallun being removed from partner program after he used a gamer word once on a stream, but I don't recall any large streamer even bothering with GW2.

If you follow the single digit tier streamers dabbling in GW2, a lot of them, especially the ones that play on NA servers, have GMs watching them on twitch, appearing in their chats occasionally and even showing up to metas they're doing ingame. Which by itself, would be nice and all if they weren't loose cannons. The problem is that they ARE loose cannons. There's been a bunch of notable incidents with people getting banned at random for retarded reasons, including Kipparian (yes THAT Kripparian), and that's only including streamers or youtubers.
Recently, Roze got banned for offsite behavior too, the same day he hit the top 2% bracket. A GM was watching his stream and decided to have his channel and account instanuked and IP banned, over something they saw on the stream (but not ingame).
Shortly afterwards, Anet announced they're looking for partners, and there were lots of people in the replies saying they applied, but it was all people with like 5-10 viewers.

Building those stats is an uphill battle, nobody who has spent over a year building a 3 digit audience wants to risk their channel playing a game with schizo mods like that, when they can play something like ESO or OSRS or even WoW and somehow have a much more relaxing time.
but I don't recall any large streamer even bothering with GW2
I'm saying there's a reason WHY larger streamers don't bother, outside of a brief, careful visit like with Preach. They look into the game's history, they see what happened to people like Kripp or Roze and they decide that they want nothing to do with it, long before they've even touched the game.

In a move that surprised nobody, ArenaNet decided to partner (wayback machine, archive.today and ghostarchive are banned by ANet) with a furfag child groomer GaroShadowscale (bonus reddit thread).

they’ve banned people for even the mildest complaints about their poor writing, so not surprising on top of all that neo-marxist nonsense.

From memory, people have been global muted for various durations for various silly reasons such as disliking the Disney Star Wars films back when it was in public consciousness, and more recently praising the Harry Potter game. I feel like there’s a group of woke players that mass report people, since I’ve never seen anyone on PVP maps be banned or muted for saying anything.

I've still no clue how GW2 was my second most played game in 2025. Yet, I keep getting the urge to play it. I know it's fast-paced, abilities feel as if they have no impact, there's way too many de/buffs to play around with, and yet I just yearn to do some completionist shit. Then I boot up necromancer and realize it's nothing like GW1's necro, let alone the necro fantasy, and close it again.

I've actually put a fair few hours into GW1 as of late and I like the unlockathon nature of it, but I made the mistake of start in Prophecies, meaning I'm playing the 1.0 version of the game and not the "You get a hero to build alongside you" that ended up becoming the main motive of the game. Yeah there's Devona but I fucked up and forgot to unlock her. On one hand I like the idea of building an entire party out, but the other, you're gimping yourself by not using meta builds.

And in the end, all you achieve is a bit of starpower cosmetics in GW2 - a game that I still have no lasting interest in outside the small spikes of delusion.
