The reason is obviously because it didn't have Enter behind it!

But honestly, the original short had some logic to it
people aged backwards
Surely it raises some weird questions and scenarios, like, everyone pretty much knows they will die on their 0 birthday, and a teenager giving birth to an elder person must be a really unpleasant scene
 
I'm sure I've said this before but I don't care.

Just the NAME of this project is so fucking dumb it is doomed. Most people hearing it will just be "what the fuck does this even mean?"

Nothing named "Growing Around" will ever be greenlighted by anyone for anything.

THIS could have been made actually entertaining - had Entard NOT touched it. You, however, sound like you could make this awesome, IMHO - dumb as it otherwise would unfortunately come off in practice.

Well I did have this other idea... you know how some people are said to be "children at heart"? If I was on this project, I'd push to have the world run by those people; very special adults who never lost their childhood innocence, imagination, and sense of wonder. A committee of Jim Hensons, Mr. Rogers, and Walt Disneys. Adults go to school in the hopes to become like these men but very few succeed. Most are simply born into it; in their hearts they never grew up.
 
I think I understand what Enter was going for with the title. It's undermining the idea of growing up, of becoming an adult and moving onto bigger and better things. "Why bother growing UP at all?" says Enter. "Any direction you prefer is completely valid!"
