There is no rule against screencaps. The rule is against reaction gifs/images.

If it is not informative, then it is discouraged. Too many reaction images and memes can derail the thread and make the whole thing unreadable. Just like the flagelating about East Germany, Hitler, and CWCville did.

I think what would really help next time is if you saved screenshots of these conversations. Gazelle or someone could have checked to see if you were talking to the real guy or not to clear up the misunderstandings.
