This picture is (badly) photoshopped. That is not actually what the cat looks like. What is going on here? How did we get two people within three pages that mistook this for a real cat?

Oh. Well, I'm a moron. But, he's fat. And if he's got comorbidity (feline leukemia), all the treats he's getting is a shitty way of caring for him. Thanks for the correction though.

I don't mean to be antagonistic, and I certainly wasn't just referring to you or the Timbit diabolical, it's just that KiwiFarms has a reputation. We were supposed to be an unbiased source of reliable information and well thought out analysis, but how are we to have any credibility correcting misinformation from our girls or pointing out something no one has noticed before when members so easily fall for photoshopped pictures or wild, non-evidence based speculation?

Let us all work together so that we do not become the disgrace that is Reddit or Facebook.

It really is amazing yet typical how the typical Deathfat uses Covid to justify why they remain perched like gargoyles in their abodes almost 24/7 when in reality......that’s pretty much all they’ve done prior to Covid. Gee that’s funny, Covid hasn’t stopped me from doing what I normally do: modified my workout 5-7 days a week all through the year because my gym was closed, took the recommended precautions and traveled, shopped, saw friends, got together, got oil changes, revived my woodworking and furniture restoration flipping for profit, etc., prepare healthy meals (well I’ve always done that) I never once used Covid as an excuse to act like a degenerate toddler but then again I’m not an unimaginative lazy gluttonous Deathfat. It’s hysterical how she used Covid as the excuse to not go to Jamaica. Yeah, as if she would have without Covid. This slob could have used the past year to lose about 175-200 pounds and really work on herself but nope. Instead she uses Covid as an excuse to go off the rails.

Peetz deserves what he gets but Clotso 100% believes that once a few of these elbees fall right off from the Ozempic and a couple flax seed waffles, she'll be fighting the men off. Peetz may have given up and resigned himself to a life of celibacy, comic books and tending to Chantal's boyles, but hopefully he has a plan B because Chinzilla will leave him buried under box mountain (stranded in an apartment he can't afford) the nanosecond she thinks she has a shot with the first desperate immigrant that shows her any interest.

I might feel a little bad for him, but he's not only an insufferable smug twat, he knows exactly what kind of person Chantal is and chose this for himself.

Remember everyone, Chantal stated firmly that no girlfriends (or I guess furry somethings) are not allowed to visit Peetz. This was shortly after they moved in.

It kind of narrows down the chances of Peetz finding a significant other from next to nothing to next to impossible.

I've seen one person around me ignoring her diabetes. She was not overweight (she actually got very skinny due to the uncontrolled diabetes) but health wise, was not much better off than Chantal. She didn't care.

She was diagnosed around 45-48yo and died of lung cancer related to smoking at 65... it's not even the diabetes who killed her. Twenty years of Type 2 diabetes with irregular insulin and she was still alive to talk about it.

But boy did she suffered. Aside feeling crappy all the time I mean. Non stop infections of all kind (mostly bladder and nails fungus), loss of a kidney, multiple toes amputations over the years. One foot was half rotten at the end of her life but was never amputated because she was in her last week of life or so anyway. All of this to say yes, death by diabetes Type 2 can be a long agony (idk about Type 1).

I keep saying Chantal won't see 2022 but she could easily survive a decade even with diabetes. What could change the game in her case are the blood clots and her poor heart. I think it will kill her way earlier and faster.

Some doctors say there are 3 types of diabetes disease. I'm not a doctor, but I agree with them with my little knowledge and understanding of biochemistry.. What we all need to uderstand as everyday people is:

1) Constantly elevated blood glucose is a cunning killer. It starts killing you from the inside out, starting from the finest blood vessels and nerves.
2) Women are more prone to diabetes. Men always store some of the glucose in their muscle cells, women cannot do it.

(And all you transactivists can now come for me and rate me autistic. Sorry to tell you, glucose metabolism is not gender neutral. That is a part of why men are stronger than women.It's not an only hormonal issue)

Given the right conditions, this would literally happen to her deceased flesh. Her skin would become adipocere (soap/wax). I wonder how many ALR hoard candles she would yield?

Type 1, type 2, gestational diabetes and cystic fibrosis related diabetes (cfrd for short)

You forgot about LADA (Latent Auto-immune Diabetes in Adults, aka Diabetes 1.5) and MODY (Mature Onset Diabetes of the Young).

There is also a school of thought now where Alzheimer Diabetes is being termed Type 3 Diabetes.

I'm not going to stuff up a thread about Chantal with offtopic misinformation... but 5 or 10% of the population is hardly the point, nor would I consider either of those stats as "rare"...especially given our poutine Queen says she doesn't even have diabetes. Remember "my A1c is only 6" guise!

this is true, though MODY is rare. Only 5 percent of the pop has it. Lada is also uncommon, with 10 percent of people having. Most people have either type one or two. I know cfrd isn’t exactly common since cf cases are 70,000 worldwide.

I forgot about those due to the fact they aren’t as prevalent .

There’s also a type that comes from certain medications, like steroids and certain chemotherapies. It’s kind of like gestational diabetes, though - once the person no longer takes the med, the diabetes goes away. Doesn’t apply to Chantal and idk how prevalent it is, but it exists.

There's a lot of kinds of diabetes (type 3c, wolfram syndrome, alström syndrome, etc) and it's irrelevant.
