People are missing the big picture, if Florida Man had a grenade launcher, why is no one concerned about the 15 consecutive people he killed to unlock it? ANd I don't want to panic anyone, but, the attack chopper unlocks at 20.....

Calvin was born too early.

This reminds me of the numerous times when people turned in empty M72 LAW tubes at gun buybacks and the local media freaked out.
(You used to be able to buy empty LAW tubes at army surplus stores. They're single use only and can't be reloaded)
Gun buyback's took the tubes?

Wonder if it was profitable to buy them at a surplus store then turn them in at the gun buyback program.

People do that. You just make tube shotguns or zip guns for under 5 bucks a pop then trade them in. Not hard and it happens.

Nine times out of ten when you hear stories like this its just like what happened in this case. Someone drops off a de-milled product or toy, and the local media latch onto it (if it bleeds it leads, if it causes fear and panic its news worthy, etc.) This happens often will de milled Law tubes (as stated), those dummy (take a number) grenades that are sold as office gags, toys, etc.

Honestly I was expecting the grenade launcher to be a civie flare launcher (its in 37mm and is designed so that it cannot be converted to fire grenades or anything) and is just a gimmick/toy. But most reporters don't know what the fuck they talk about it and report it as the real deal all the time.
