Yeah, don't get your hopes up. Probably it's just a shitty port via Android emulation. LCS mobile also sucked on it's own, since it featured stolen assets from a GTA III ""HD"" mod, thus making the ambience look way worse than the PSP/PS2 version. Look for comparsions online, you'll see what I mean.

Ditto for III/VC/SA "remastered", I bet they are just a port of their mobile version just with a few textures tweaked, if any. Don't get your hopes up.

I hate Catalina. All she does is draw the story to a grinding halt, bitches and screams every second, and has generally hard missions not helped by her attitude.

She’s like if Jace Connors was a female Mexican; always angry, thinks she is the commander, yet rather than any actual commands, just gives criticism based on never ever wanting to show any emotion that isn’t anger.

I know, but it I wouldn't be surprised if they re-release that anyway, maybe with some minor tweaks to justify the new edition.

This is modern TakeTwo/Rockstar Games we are talking about, don't expect effort and quality in those remasters. They don't even put effort to Online, let alone the older games.

It's now been eight years since Rockstar started coasting on GTA V (or more accurately, GTA Online since they stopped giving the smallest shit about the campaign six years ago), and who knows how many more until they pull the plug and start milking GTA VI (GTA Online 2, of course) for at least two console generations.

I can already see the backlash that will result from Strauss Zelnick demanding that everyone start from scratch in GTA Online 2 in the search for more Shark Card revenue.

Now that I didn't know. I thought the enhancements were done in house.

I do miss the graphical charm the PSP version had, but I do not think the remaster looks "bad." The UI is certainly cleaner.

The UI is cleaner, I agree. But still, the lazy bastards couldn't even make the original weapon icons high resolution themselves so they simply recycled the ones from GTA III/VC. Same thing happened to VC mobile.

i mean its been 8 years, GTA Online has been around longer than Star Wars:Galaxies or City of Heroes or toontown online. it still has one of the biggest current player counts of any game, and 100% has the most of any game 5+ years old. there are very few things he could have spent that much money on that would have lasted him this long.

In gaming? I guess if you only count online games and not physical games, hardware or peripherals. I'd also argue that he got less bang for his buck considering there are limited uses for the items he spent that money on, it is impossible to drive all those vehicles enough to justify the money spent, and the fact that spending money on business ventures in online is a complete waste if you don't use those ventures to generate income to avoid buying shark cards...

Outside of gaming, I could think of millions of things he could have spent those hundreds of dollars on that would have lasted longer than 8 years and had been much more fun and or productive.

Higher player count does not always mean engagement. GTA Online has a lot of game modes for players to get into to. Oftentimes, several game modes would have you waiting for several minutes to find a game. Even during 2XP days.

Looking back, I seriously hope we can get GTA protag as strong narratively as Nkko Bellac. The whole story of GTA IV rather being some satire of American culture at that period is different in being a dark satire. No matter how well you do in the story or how much money you get with Niko, he will always lose something or someone. A man who tries to run from his horrible past, but his past follows him to the new world who wants Niko from the old world.
