I recently played the Lost and Damned expansion for GTA 4 last week and I actually quite enjoyed it. I feel like despite how short it was, it managed to be an overall good experience for me. A few features felt kinda useless like the addition of the pipe bombs/grenade launcher and the crew leveling system. None of the NPCs besides Terry and Clay stick around long enough for it to even really matter. Even then I barely notice much improvement in their effectiveness.
One detail I felt differentiated it from the mainline GTA 4 story was that Johnny never really has any ambition to socially climb up the ladder and get rich, unlike Niko who's representative of the American dream. Johnny is always poor for the most part and doesn't really get a huge payout at the end like most GTA protagonists do. The Lost always serve working as errand boys to earn scraps to fund their lifestyle. I feel like similar to Red Dead being set at the end of the wild west era. TLAD seems to reflect the idea of The Lost being lost in time (pun intended) like modern day cowboys. They are a remnant of a by gone age struggling to find a place in the modern world. Eventually going out in a blaze of glory before having their club torn apart by the realities of the world.
Now that I've played it, I can say in the GTA Online Biker update there were some good elements they borrowed from TLAD, but not nearly enough to make it really memorable. All I remember people using the MC president feature for is the cocaine business and spawning the Oppressor. I think how they could have improved it is if they added a main storyline for the MC club similar to the Casino missions. It would cement a cohesive story to the DLC and give it a solid identity instead of feeling like a bunch of elements and pieces that exist but haven't been put together.
Instead it's so forgettable it's become Great Value CEO. Most people don't even ride motorcycles as a president anymore and I don't blame them because it's not viable anymore for combat.

the solo public lobby fix had nothing to do with the fan patch. it's a longer timeout that will DC you instead if you try the old method. new one is more trickier.

Johnny had wanted what's best for the club. And for his band of brothers. Billy was a thorn to all of that.
Even with all that, there wasn't much to spend in IV other than guns, clothes and food. Missions were basically the only way to spend and make money.
I think V took that sentiment literally. Such a shame, The Lost and Damned was underrated. Gang wars were a blast, motorcycles had weight and durability, Liberty City felt different because of the biker gang theme.

Newsweek was just one of the news outlets that has claimed that Rockstar over a few days ago has confirmed a rumor that GTA VI will be released to the public in 2025
The Sun even claimed that GTA VI’s map was leaked to show that it will have the same, though sometimes changing, map as of Fortnite.
Overall, if it does come out in 2025, it will be around the time when the video game industry is going to go through a very massive change. I’m just being optimistic as time goes on.

It mentioned "seasons," I'm hoping they mean weather seasons. But the comparison to Fortnite makes me worry that R* will adapt an "always online" philosophy with the next GTA. The map would always change, therefore it's hard to be accustomed to it.
I hope for the better of the consumer. I think the success of some high profile single player experiences will be a hint for R* that single player is here to stay. I DO think that VI will have a Battle Pass system. R* is still known to innovate AND follow trends as the gaming industry progresses. We'll see what happens. 2025 is a bit of time away.

Rockstar Co-Founder Dan Houser Has Seemingly Started a New Studio - IGN
Dan Houser is seemingly involved with a new video game company called Absurd Ventures In Games.
Rockstar Games co-founder and Grand Theft Auto writer, Dan Houser, has seemingly started up a new video game company studio.
As spotted by Rockstar Mag a new company started in the United Kingdom called Absurd Ventures In Games has recently been registered. According to a business listing, Dan Houser is involved with Absurd Ventures in Games as Director.
Details about the new company are sparse. Absurd Ventures in Games was incorporated in the UK on June 23, 2021, and is classified as a “Ready-made Interactive leisure and entertainment software development” company.
However, given how few details there are it’s not necessarily the case that Absurd Ventures in Games is a new game development studio or a different company working in the games industry.
In 2020 Dan Houser left Rockstar Games, the company he helped found in 1998 with his brother Sam. Rockstar parent company Take-Two Interactive confirmed Dan Houser left in 2020 and issued a statement thanking Houser for his years of service. Sam Houser remains at Rockstar Games as president of the company.
Houser is best known for his work on Rockstar’s many critically acclaimed games and served as a writer on almost all of the company’s Grand Theft Auto and Red Dead Redemption titles. The last Rockstar Games release was Red Dead Redemption 2, one of the most critically acclaimed games of 2018.
Meanwhile, the internet continues to be obsessed over when Grand Theft Auto 6 will come out.

It's been like 5 years and we haven't heard a peep from Benzies company so I'm not going to hold my breath to hear anything from Housers new company.

For what it's worth, I have a bit more faith in Houser than Benzies since Dan Houser was pretty much the creative heart of the GTA series and always seemed like a highly driven person.
If Benzies can somehow get in touch with Houser and merge the two companies, it could be interesting.

This is like the exact opposite of what their roles would imply though.
Benzies was the producer, Houser was the creative writer and the suit.
It was actually brought up in the lawsuit I believe that Benzies was specifically the driving force that got Red Dead Redemption out the door lol

I'm currently watching a 100% GTA3 rainbomizer playthrough. Quite entertaining.
Evidently, you could use the tank to help with all but a couple rampages. The only rampages you can't exploit with the tank are the headshots rampages.
