Whatever they were trying to do with Michael's family, he came out looking as the better guy compared to anyone in his family

It's because all of the bad shit he supposedly does is either A. From before the game begins and is never shown or B. Is completely player choice.

You don't feel like he's the bad guy when he loses his shit with Amanda for cheating because you never actually see him cheat in the story so if you completely ignore hookers it feels out of place.

Jimmy complains about how horrible of a father he is, but the first thing you see him do is literally save the kids life after he tries to sell his fucking yacht from behind his back.

You're told that Mike was apparently an abusive drunk but only if you take the time to hang out with these unlikable assholes, which few would do. Where as the entire plot of Mike and Trevor is based on his betrayal of his BEST FRIEND in order to give his family a luxurious life.

It was just very poorly done, and I'm convinced there was a change with the writing at some point because they were afraid of him and Trevor possibly being too unlikable.

Doesnt help that the one snippet from the past the game shows you is Mike pleading with Amanda about the deal he took with Norton, and how he ultimately did it so they can move unto a better life.

Isn't it kinda sad that the only time you feel for the family is if you pick Ending A? Seriously, as much of a brat as he is, those calls from Jimmy to Franklin feel very real, especially after he realizes Frank did his dad in.

Ned Luke, the actor that plays Micheal, I feel has a bit of an ego.

Ever since GTA V, he's been resting on his laurels with the success of that game. Like it's his big break. I understand his position, but he just brags about it day in, day out.

To be honest, i can understand it. If i remember right, dude wasn't even familiar much with vidya when asked to the role, looks like a boomer to me, so he probably thought any success in his career could only be achieved through movies.

Later then V proved a record breaking success, making more money than the top earning movies that year iirc, so i can imagine Luke getting overwhelmed by the accolades and recognition.

I think he gave a great performance too, so it's understandable he feels proud of it, then again, i don't have any social media, old man might be the biggest dick about it for all i know

Looking at his Twitter, he does play a fair share of video games. I have nothing against the guy, he just has an ego. GTA V does that to people.

Also, I'm playing LCS and doing those Avenging Angel missions. I don't like how some enemies spawn in the subway below in Staunton Island.

I think Ned Luke acts that way because of how the community is on social media. I'd rather have the way he acts over Solo constantly baiting the community and then getting butthurt on Instagram over them every six months to a year.

Also IIRC he basically was planning to retire before he got the role of Michael because he considered his acting career to be on the downslope. I gotta think that your final gig ending up being the most profitable piece of media ever and getting you a ton of recognition in the community does go to ones head a bit, especially since you didn't see that same kind of recognition for Young Maylay or Michael Hollick.

Solo can't get mad at the community he himself eggs on. It's literally teenagers and Brazilians that do that.

Cawadoody insider suggest that in next GTA there will be female protag
Zrzut ekranu 2021-01-12 153634.png

ofc GTAForums tards commanded by preacher said to him to GTFO to cawadoody, because the preacher says in next GTA there will be MtF protag
Zrzut ekranu 2021-01-12 153819.png

anyway that discussion is a stupid (((Zelnick))) gayop, because there won't be next GTA

The protagonist will be female of the next GTA rumor/leak has literally been a thing since before San Andreas announcement. It's been said about literally every game almost. I think it's only eclipsed in popularity by "GTA Tokyo". You'd think these people could be a little creative with this bullshit.

Also it's really nice to see retards like that think GTA started with GTAIII. GTA 1 had both male and female player characters.

If you want to be technical, GTA Online allows players to be male or female. They don't really do much with that lore wise.

The meme is getting old fast, but this one i do like
Shall we have a universal agreement to limit meme spam on here? Or make it into a separate thread on Games?

You can play this Mission Passed Theme Music from GTA III, no matter what good or bad things happen, and everything starts to make sense in life.

It’s hard to believe that it’s almost 8 years that this happened, and yet we still have a company that’s milking the cow of the GTA ONLINE fanbase so they won’t have to work on GTA 6.

More than that, it feels like there is an entire act to the game missing. Franklin's gang shit and Trevors drug/China shit goes nowhere unless you pick the deathwish ending where they get unceremoiously killed. Martin Madrazo vanishes from the story almost as quickly as he is introduced. The FIB shit seemingly comes out of nowhere and lingers for ages. Then all of a sudden Devin Weston is the big bad and the game ends. There is definitely a missing link somewhere to tie these plot points along, like the shit Trevor pulls should have been the connecting point to take you from robbing banks to working for the FIB, instead Dave's boss finds out about Michael and that somehow ties in Franklin and Trevor.

I wonder when they’ll reveal the next GTA, considering the threads the autists over at the GTA Forums have been teasing out of Rockstar’s silence.

Some interesting circumstantial discussions over whether or not it’ll be the HD version of Vice City or not.

Definitely agree, and the ending never really sat well with me, it seemed too...convenient how everything was tied up in a big bow (aka all the antagonists killed in one go) and then the story was over.

Franklin is trying to get out of the gang life.

The Chinese are introduced with Trevor shortly after Trevor gets rid of his competition.

That's all Micheal's part. Devin is introduced around the FIB story thread.

Not defending V's weak story, just trying to better explain those threads as best I can. But you're right, compared to IV, these weren't fleshed out as well as they could. IV has characters that have better story arcs than the whole of V.

I wish Franklin had more character development.

IMO it was going be fleshed out in DLCs (which never happened)

BTW, looking at game delays news I wouldn't be shocked if GTA V 9th gen port will be delayed to next year (and cretins at GTAForums will be defend it anyways)
