They'll just tell you that GTA:O is an alternate universe. It's a free escape rope from these kinds of things.

Plus, I really doubt anyone who cares about lore is concerned about this.
They fucked over the lore like 8 years ago with the whole "GTA:O takes place 6 months prior to the events of GTA V" with various retcons following the release of the original heists. That's also completely ignoring fucking hovercrafts.
Why be concerned now?

Plus, the shrink being alive is honestly nothing compared to Blaine County being a mostly quiet town sans Trevor's small empire and the Lost's dying days to now apparently being the hotbed for international incidents, terrorism, and billion dollar empires.

Christmas events include a Die Hard event where you can get a 92fs (whcih seems pretty weak when the basic pistol is already a Taurus 92, a 92fs clone) and a grinch rip off stealing your money.
And they can't even get the knockoff 92 model design right :story:

At very least the default pistol can be upgrade to Mk.II and equip with FMJ rounds to shoot through bulletproof glasses and comes with a red dot sight that actually enhances the zoom in over-shoulder camera.

Or just use Heavy Revolver Mk.II w/ FMJ and AP Pistol like everyone else.

Another Fairlady added to the catalog and can be apply with Imani Tech upgrades. There is however a one catch.

It's a time limited car until 28th December this year. R* obviously tries to make players buy it due to the FOMO*.

Any kind of combat that isn't melee or just crashing your car around is a disaster in the 3D era games. You'd think they could have done a bit of a better job, like a lock-on system ala 3D Zelda or something
It's worse in the international versions. You cannot even beat the person when they're down on the ground. Just mindlessly swing in the air.

The recent new storyline for GTA Online involving Drug Wars was so forgettable that I genuinely do believe that they were trying to do a Breaking Bad parody at first. Though, the only problem was that I think they were almost ten years too late.

When I read "Drug Wars" my mind jumped back to the best minigame in the entire series, drug dealing in Chinatown Wars.

Like GODDAMMIT, how fucking cool was this minigame? Chinatown Wars is easily the most underrated game of the entire series. I have a thing for cops "down on their luck" and Wade Heston was fucking amazing.

the writing for gta online is so shitty that i dont get why people criticize V's story when it has actual character moments and dialogue that isnt milennials trying to appropiate the zoomers

My theory is that people either just completely ignore Onlines story because it's been dogshit from day one, and/or retarded players feel a connection to their character so they rate it higher than they should.

I loved Chinatown Wars. Writing is KINO, music is fire, gags are laugh out loud. Extremely underrated game, both mobile and GTA.

Chinatown Wars. The GTA games that allows you to turn as literal Chainsaw Man and completely dodge everything that's not minigun shots or explosive by simply rolling. It even came with drug trade mechanisms that works thousands better than what GTA Online has to offer, yet the GTA 3 tier meme overpowered shotgun also returned as sawn-off shotgun.

Too bad the mission replay barely works on pirated version. Regardless, good times.

CW was fucking hilarious too, had me laughing out loud at various points in the game

You also get to kill a tranny
Hate to break you, but the guy isn't a tranny. He's just one of GTA chars that likes to crossdress for no reason. It's also unbelievable the fact Huang completely dense of being used by him until the Triad Chairman scolds him.

The Drug Dealing minigame makes Chinatown Wars the best GTA game IMO

It's infinitely more fun than anything Online has ever produced, and feels like a general evolution of the fun gameplay the 3D era set up.

I heard that drug dealing minigame was inspired from VCS. You could make easy money if you knew the drug economy. I'm glad that they reintroduced rampages into CW. AND you could replay them IRC.

The economy isn't that hard to learn. The PDA will shows you which dealer will prefer to buy / sell items (you need to F2F them or wait until they ring you on PDA). You also need to wait when someone tells you to sell or buy stuff at bargain offer if you wanna make serious cash. There's also a hidden dealer where he sells everything by half, but it requires Social Club online (server died long time ago, so don't bother).
