That's kind of what I would hope the dynamic is between the two protagonists, since they're saying it's a Bonnie and Clyde thing. An overbearing and hotheaded latina and a dude who's just sick of this shit would be a perfect comedic duo.
It's odd how they kinda dropped the ball when it came to that in GTAV, yet in IV they pulled it off extremely well, and that was a story where all three characters were only together at the same time for under a minute. Also not related but I find it funny how Niko and Johnny were real cool with each other (Johnny even compliments how much of a badass Niko is) yet in the next mission Niko kills Johnny's friend Jim lol.
The best part is that he's not even doing it because he's into her, or trying to suck up to her.

I believe he only wanted to work with Catalina to pay off The Truth for weed that Tenpenny roped him into. And he was Cesar's cousin.
And the crazy sex was probably good. It always blows my mind that Catalina and Claude were together for 9 years. Obviously 3 didn't have much of a story as is and they couldn't exactly have known what San Andreas' story was going to be when they wrote 3, but you would expect more of an emotional dynamic between the two of them in 3 considering how long they were an item.
They were the Bonnie and Clyde of GTA. Claude knew when to keep quiet; it was a perfect relationship.

Playing it straight like she's "just one of the boys" would be ignoring the elephant in the room, not a viable option.
Well, out of all the options they can do with a female protagonist, it's the best one simply because it wouldn't be super fucking annoying.
They could embrace it and have a different type of playstyle or missions for her. Males and females have played differently forever in gaming, just do it here too.
People call Demolition Man, the Avery mission with the RC heli and timed dynamite, a difficult mission. It's actually not if you know how to fly and know where the coronas are located.
This mission is fine compared to the one you do to the Haitians, every Haitian mission on this game can go fuck itself.
That makes me glad I played the later PC release of GTA SA speaking of RC missions. If you think that Vice City mission is bad, they made the Zero missions too hard on the original PS2 release that even David Cross couldn't beat it.
That was MY first thought. Bombs Away! was annoying to do the INTENDED way.
Did they make it easier for the PC version? I beat all the Zero missions on the first try a few months back and thought I'd suddenly become a God-tier 1337 gamer or something.

That would be the extremely obnoxious and annoying way to go about it, but thinking about it, yeah, even in the "golden age" of Rockstar that's what they'd do with a latina protagonist. I doubt she's even going to be that considering it's modern Rockstar, though, she'll just be a serious and dour no nonsense boss bitch that gets shit done like every other female protagonist.
How are they going to explain the absence of flying rocket bikes and other shit in GTA 6's story mode?
