>wanting to go back to vice city instead of having a new city based on somewhere else like the saint denis location from rdr2

smh
I've been to New Orleans, geographically it's a bit fucked to make Rockstar style, that is with a country side, because it's immediately surrounded by impassable swamps so it would be too boring.

Also future GTAs are doomed by the fact it's impossible to properly do inland cities due to the need for the map to be an Island

Like Las Venturas could easily fit the layout of GTA 5's map rotated 180 degrees, with Kingman AZ, Needles, and Bullhead City, NV all being roughly equivalent to Sandy Shore, Harmony and Grapeseed. Though you have a problem with the Mojave being a bare empty wasteland west of the Colorado, perhaps they could take I-15 as it does have a very abrupt turn by the California state line they could just pull it south to I-40 and drag Barstow California over to it tie up the western side of the map, since the north, east and south sides of the map can easily be boxed in like they did with Mount Gordo and the San Chianski mountains in GTA 5 but that also leaves no real coast as there's no development on Lake Mead, with the only thing even remotely approaching a coastal town in the entire region being Lake Havasu.

Also what's amusing if a map like that was made, on the California side could still canonly be Blaine County since Southern California counties are the whole width of the state.

I like Professional, but this is what he gets for being like "DE is okay" early on.

I just realized that it GTA VI were to go “woke”, they’d probably would make the male character like Queen Latifah in The Equalizer:

Or if not that, they’ll just use Denzel Washington’s version of the movie and just strip everything that character represented for a “woke” ideology:

Man, I forgot about that Queen Latifa version.

We've come a long way from this

I heard they're not doing three protagonists anymore.

That in mind, imagine how cool it would've been to play as Lamar offline.
Honestly they'd probably save more money making us just create mute protagonists.

Ain't no way people are jumping in a GTA game and not asking for a Pacific Standard heist payout for main character role.

There's a reason Rockstar has started to go with relatively unknown actors for their main characters, and it's specifically to get around this.

I love The Professional, but he needs to face facts that this game is a broken experience through and through.

During his 1 million Q&A someone asked if he thought it was acceptable for Rockstar to charge 60 dollars for a mobile game port, and not understanding that was what DE is he basically said absolutely not and that would be a complete rip off.

Then like 5 minutes later someone sent him something explaining that is exactly what DE is and he seemed confused lol.

Yeah, and I don't think that well is particularly deep. Plus Rockstar has been poisoning it for awhile now. They'd be better off with create-a-character mute protagonists going forward.

Especially since Saints Row shat the bed they could absorb that fanbase.

So I'm not the only one complaining about the lighting. It looks too dark in spots, even with increasing brightness.

What the fuck are you talking about? Unknown actors are a dime a dozen. Poison the well? An unknown would kill to play any character in a GTA game.

And you're crazy if you think the Saints Row fanbase isn't already absorbed into the GTA fanbase. Even if it wasn't, it's a drop in the bucket compared to GTA. And making the character a mute isn't what would bring them to GTA anyways since Saints Row hasn't had mute characters since the first game.

Dude, Rockstar treats them like shit. This is well known. Every actor that comes out from working with them tries to tell others not to work with them. Eventually they're gonna run out of masochists.

And I don't think the Saints Row fanbase does like GTA. Every time I've seen them they talk about how GTA is too real and not fun, they aren't in that fanbase. It doesn't matter if it's a drop in the bucket, more is more money. Why else do you think corporations have been sterilizing themselves? They're trying to get everyone. They aren't picky. A muted protagonist is the least offensive protagonist.

Well Ned Luke (Michael) seems to be (if not masochist) a R* asskisser or a hardcore fanboy. He supported GTAV PS5. Maylay was angry at R* and later with a live with Shawn (Franklin) and cleared up some things. Ray Liotta(Tommy) from what we heard from R* was a cunt during recording sessions.

Ray Liotta was their mistake. You can't bring in a guy used to Hollywood Professionalism™ and drag him into an environment that probably nowhere near matches it, of course he's gonna be a cunt about it... and a cunt in the right at that.

No it isn't, holy shit. Ray Liotta was being a prick about pay more than the experience, this is known. Michael Madsen only talked shit after some parents group bitched at him about the game being violent, before that he never had complaints about the work experience. Young Maylay is a ghetto retard who bitches that Rockstar "left him out in the cold" (aka didn't pay him more money) and his rap career never took off.

The GTA V trio have never said anything bad. The only thing Solo complains about is GTA fanboys never shutting up (even though all he does is talk about being in GTA) and the most Steven Ogg has bitched about how pissed he gets when people call him a "voice actor" when it had way more involved than that.

The RDR2 gang have been heaping praise for years now. I've never seen any of them say a single bad word.

Even Michael Hollick said he had no problem with Rockstar and was upset that his representation didn't secure royalties. It was game journo and GTA fanboy retards who misrepresented what he said.

You're also completely ignoring the many celebrities who returned in follow up games. Frank Vincent, Phillip Michael Thomas, Danny Trejo, William Fichtner, Luis Guzman, Gary Busey, Danny Dyer, etc. etc. all came back and never had anything bad to say from what I recall.

And even if the bullshit you say is true, you're still a retard to think an up and comer or struggling actor would refuse a gig in a Rockstar games production because "they treat the actors like shit". Most productions treat actors like shit, it's part of the fucking business but you take it if it means you get your name out there and you get a decent/steady paycheck for a couple years.

How many up and comers get anywhere after playing in GTA? I never hear anything about the people after they played those roles unless they were already established. At least Jennifer Hale got from Scooby Doo to being one of the most prolific video game actresses.

So sick of her voice.

You've changed the goalposts from "they won't work with them because they treat them bad" to "they won't work with them because it won't lead to follow up work/them being a superstar"

Which is still retarded and shows you know absolutely nothing about struggling actors.

Seriously, why bring up Jennifer Hale as some superstar? Nobody knows who the fuck she is besides nerds.

Edit: Steven Ogg has had regular work since GTA V, and Slink Johnson had his own TV show btw.

Dude, you brought up getting their names out there. What good has it actually done? They get treated like shit, people constantly tell them they'll get treated like shit and for what? They get underpaid as far as rates go and nothing to show for it later on. This is consistent with Rockstar gigs and people would pick up on that. All they have is, "I played that character in that GTA series" and nothing else.

EDIT: Oh wow, a whole two people got regular work. Except both Steven Ogg and Slink Johnson were already established.

You not hearing about small time/stage actors doesn't mean that it didn't lead to them getting more work, btw. When you're up and coming the more credits you have the better.

You're the kind of retard that still perpetuates the Michael Hollick story without ever actually reading the interview, I bet.

During III and Vice City, these well-known actors from mobster films did not take video games seriously. They still had the stigma that video games were meant for children.

We have GTA to thank for removing that belief that video games aren't just for children.

Here's an interview of Liotta briefly talking about his experience with Vice City.
