I dont think it will sell as well as we are thinking , nostalgia is big but most of the rockstar fans are so done with them they probably wont buy it , the only ones who will are people who played the games once when they were 7 and never again , and people who buy anything rockstar puts their name on. I dont think its going to sell well.

Shills are going to shill, but the fact all the games use San Andreas sound and GTA IV/V HUD elements pisses me the fuck off and takes away from their feel and vibe.

I know, I know. The shit was made for Fortnite kids who have zero frame of reference so they won't care about the feel of the games being missing through this and radio cuts, but I also have to wonder if they will even care enough to buy these old ass games?

The UI looks cheap as hell. The shine is distracting. The corona is unnecessarily bright.

This looks like a mismatch of random mods running on GTA IV. This is a premium product.
 
From looking at the clips it seems you still can't rotate the camera with right analog stick on console? You know when they promised "gameplay improvements" that was the first thing that came to mind. I guess we'll still have to deal with shit like this then?

Every car looks like plastic and lubed up, as others said graphics mods from years ago look better. Also maybe I'm alone but seeing GTA 3 without the constant overcast look feels cursed, it removes some of the charm of the original game.

You're not. One of the big issues most of us, if not all of us, take umbrage with is the atmosphere essentially being removed from the 3 games. A simple way to phrase it for the zoomers or people who never played the originals so don't understand the grievances when it comes to atmosphere and music being removed, and I think it's quite apt, is: Imagine playing CoD4, WAW, MW2, or Blops1 - without the menu music.

Shame on anyone who played the originals in all their glory getting excited for this garbage product Nu* is shoveling out.

Not just menu sounds, the same arrow indicating player position on the pause menu map.

The #1 rule for ports/remasters is that if your customer can get a better experience playing the original version via an emulator, you have failed.

I just don't get it. There's nothing illegal about just plopping the PS2 versions into PCSX2 via Libretro and making a little custom interface, and then selling that. Years ago I would have called that lazy and atrocious, but that was before I knew the alternative would be cars that look like toys and shading that makes the games look like student projects.
