Are there any decent musicians nowadays that Rockstar would want to be in their radio stations?
A fair few decent musicians in the shadows, but yeah, I doubt Rockstar would want them as they play instruments.

Apparently, some guy reverse engineered the first Grand Theft Auto game. Looks promising to say at least. Here's the thread at GTAForums.com

Isn't there a full GTA1 pack out there already? The MAX pack or something to that effect?

The man who questioned whether cyber bullying is a thing also performed his in game song, “Garbage”, at the Video Game Awards back in 2013

This was also the first time where I actually remembered being for once interested that VGX actually gave most of the awards to GTA V, since it was much deserved at the time. Now fast forward to today, we have people thinking The Last Of Us: Part II deserves a live action TV show.

Even his rival turned best friend, A$AP Rocky, had a in game song in there and performed at the show, too.

Besides Video Game Awards™ losing their luster/personality, we are never going to have fun things like this again.

A collection called Grand Theft Auto: The Trilogy - The Definitive Edition has allegedly been leaked after a rating from the Korean ratings board.

If they restore the cuban-haitian content that is in the original vice city, I will buy it on day one.
I seriously doubt the same people who made it such a big deal twenty years ago will even notice this time.

Or at least let people mod it back.

Remasters or remakes? Can't see them doing the latter, anything with a texture size above 512x512 and a poly count above 1K is reserved for the HD era.

With all the Haitians pouring through the border, Rockstar wouldn't dare "insinuate violence against them".

Anyway, I got the PS2 versions of the trilogy on the PS5, so at least I won't lose access to them if the remasters suck.

Does R* still have the original soundbites from the source material? How would you remaster sound?

If they still have the source code they can probably use the uncompressed versions of the audio files for the remasters, they likely won't be able to redo the sounds again especially considering how lazy they've been recently.

What does "Definitive Edition" even mean anyway? It's something that's bothered me as of late with gaming when all the special editions are being called definitive edition's now. Like, doesn't "definitive" mean something like "solution" or used in place of "certainly"? I guess it's a solution to all the fans bitching for a remake but that's about it.

I believe they use when referring to the best version when GOTY edition is off the table. Don't know why R* is doing it with this, considering VC & SA will have less content due to the axed songs.

Definitive is a synonym to "complete," "final," or "ultimate." It's basically their way of saying this version is the complete or final version from before. Typically through enhancements through graphics or gameplay afforded through improving technology.

Basically, yes. These remasters will feel like lesser versions of the originals because of their neutered soundtracks. The licensed music is what makes the GTA experience, especially since you'll be driving most, if not all the time. The PC versions of GTA are technically the "definitive" editions of these acclaimed titles with their advantage to be modded to your heart's content.

I'm not even talking about weapon or aesthetic mods; there are mods that improve performance such as widescreen compatibility for modern monitors. Hell, you can even "downgrade" your Steam copy to the original release to preserve its soundtrack. Regardless, R* gets the money. Why restrict PC modding for games?

I had to google what content was cut.
Never even noticed that shit before lol
R*, what a bunch of pussies.

They called it that because GTA Trilogy has been a thing since 2004.
