Yep, and it gave him the impression that he was making YouTube a better place in the second part of his infamous rant about YouTube e-celeb drama--you know, the same one that turned half of /r/GradeAUnderA against him as well as the one that proved that his videos had been becoming less about the mundane day-to-day inconveniences he usually talked about and more and more about picking fights with other YouTubers. I've got it timestamped:

Dude going by m0xy in Twitch/livestreamfail contexts' trademark is his scuffed microphone. One time he got a new one and forgot to stuff it into his mouth, so he came out clear and people were like "who the fuck are you".

That is not a viable tactic when you make heavily edited videos in which you're meant to sound smart.
