Wow, looks like someone looked up a random lolcow on ED and posted his article here to be noticed! Wow, let me try!

The sun won't go supernova, it'll just expand into a red giant, swallow everything up to venus (and probably earth) and then release it's outer shell, which is called nova, and then become a white dwarf.

the problem is, we'll never get to know if it'll die. there is no signs of it. earth will freeze up before any possibility of "the big freeze" occours anywhere near us. Humans will split into two billion different mammal families before that happens.
