Necro'ing to share some actual goth metal+post-punk even non-goths can enjoy. Some from recent years and a bit of more obscure stuff

Heard these guys while looking through some Bauhaus. Its got kind of an 80s sound

If anyone wants a pretty good cheat code for banging that one goth girl that you know here's a good place to start.
Sisters of Mercy is doing a fall tour of the US this year.

It's not real goth unless the vocals are in German and vidya clip is filmed in a bdsm club.

I haven't gone to see them, but I've heard mixed reports. Sometimes they are good, sometimes not so good, depending on how Elridge is feeling basically. Whomever is playing support in your city might be more interesting, but hey, It's Sisters Of Mercy.

I saw them last year in Chicago at The Salt Shed.
It was honestly like Andrew was there just performing a supervisory role.
The guitar player Ben Christo was doing 90% of the vocal work and I can honestly say that the guy was the legitimate frontman for the entire show. I'm of the opinion that Andrew is close to stepping away and training his replacement on the way out.
I can safely say that if that actually WAS the case then he'd be leaving it in the best hands possible. You can 100% tell that Christo is passionate about performing. I'm generally very skeptical of someone taking over as a frontman and all but the guy honestly has killer stage presence.
I honestly think that Andrew is terminally ill and keeping it under wraps.
SoM would live on anyways. I mean Doktor Avalanche was in tip top form and keeping up like he did in the 80s with no problems at all.

Dunno man, Sisters without Andrew is like Slayer without Hanneman. Thankfully there is a lot of fresh blood in this genre. If Ploho and/or Molchat Doma come your way, be sure to go see them. Fantastic groups both on and off stage.

Death in June might do another tour in which case - recommended. Not goth, but adjacent. If Brendan and Lisa bury the hatchet and go on tour - Dead Can Dance would be great to see again.

Does this count as Goth?

She was anti-vax before it was cool and can actually sing (can't say the same for other ex-reality show retards), so I will give this one a pass: Kat Von D
