Good reads about Norse?

Been casually interested in Norse shit for a while, noticing it's starting to become a popular setting for media, so i wanna read up on it before it gets inevitably revisioned with "ACTHUALLEHS" and "WE WUZ" stuff.

So what's some good, unbiased material i could pick up?
 
Are you primarily interested in the actual history or the mythology? A quick search shows me that there's an entire website dedicated to the mythology, but it seems to be a little harder to find material purely focused on the actual history.

Both are interesting in their own way, i was interested in the mythology only when asking, but some history would be appreciated as well

Here's a page that's supposed to be the complete history of the Vikings. I have no idea if this is biased or not, and I'm not familiar enough with the subject to recommend any books, but I hope this is helpful.
