I remember Super Mario 63.
A good oldy flash-game.

A Sonic one could be Sonic Robo Blast 2.

I can't remember anything of Mega Man, sadly.
 
Why is your thread title so general but your OP so specific? I can't help you and that sounds like prime autism territory...
I mean I guess Mari0 which is Mario with portals counts.

Good fan-made games in general are a worthy topic but I can't think of many off the top of my head. MechWarrior had at least 2 good ones but I can't remember their names atm.

Not a fan game but I hear the wario game for the virtual boy is fairly solid. If you could find a rom and make it blue it could be fun

You left out the best one: Mega Man: Day in the Limelight 2. Basically you play as the Robot Masters from Mega Man 2 in custom Mega Man 3 levels. Each Robot Master has their own gimmick/play style with levels that actually use their abilities and once you bet a level you can switch to that Robot Master at any time. Really fun and worth playing,

I was just curious, since I've seen quite a few Sonic fan/indie games which were well done, but can't think of a single Mario one.

(Feel free to mention other series as well).
 
SAGE 2020 is over. Maybe go try some of the demos?
