Not sure if this has been covered here yet but some of the less braindead members of this community have actually managed to revive the "Legacy Video Maker" and with more features the original LVM itself didn't even have. Similar to what Xtranormal State Plus was. And honestly let me tell you, the dev teams are also full of spergy drama.
The earliest known instance was a Node.js wrapper of the original GoAPI designed to restore almost all functionality called
GoAnimate-Wrapper. The masterminds behind this project were VisualPlugin (who later retired after Vyond initially made a complaint), CLoggermore (who got ousted as a ROBLOX groomer and ABDL faggot) and ItsJayPM (who kept going even after Big Lipkowitz sperged out).
A more popular example of this is
Wrapper: Offline, which is one of the most commonly used out of any of the LVM clones. There used to be a full fledged dev team behind it at the time that I, a former dev, had ownership of the project, and also when GoTest334 took full control. I brought together a good chunk of the original GoAnimate Wrapper dev team alongside people that have made their own LVM clones (e.g. Wrapper: Online, which was meant mostly for Chromebook users) and someone that contributed the most to it was Jay (the same one I mentioned earlier). They managed to go through the entire P-code and ActionScript and even make changes so that there was more color palette options, the CC Toon Adventure theme would be able to function properly with the new video maker, I think there was even an expanded TTS character limit at some point. I will admit my coding sucked ass, most of the things I did were the now mostly deprecated CLI side of things alongside some tiny JavaScript tweaks, and things often kept breaking. I didn't feel like I was in the best position to keep running the project so I eventually stepped down and handed it over to GoTest. And all he did was make it worse. The only person developing it now is someone named Octanuary.
And this leads us to the 2nd most used LVM out of any of them:
FlashThemes. This was being developed by Jay and their creative partner MegaT for years. And out of all the dev teams, this one's filled with the most drama. They like talking about other GoAnimate lolcows that are no longer relevant (like Joey Nigro and RainBoy101) all the time and they've even given me shit over previous incidents that I've been through, most of which either have been debunked or forgiven. When I tried calling them out over the BS they were pulling, they tried to talk shit about my ex who I reconciled with. She found out about this and it made her feel unsafe. And they brought up the legal manners I've been put through when they never even bothered to speak to the plaintiff in the first place and that was something I had also debunked earlier. Basically they don't know how to mind their own fucking business. They're known to "pastshame", and one of the notorious community troons Spark/RageinGagein/"Sammi" tried using that term to make fun of us for using that term to describe what they're doing.
So yeah as a former LVM dev I thought I'd share my experience with people in this community as well as what has happened behind the scenes in the dev teams and communities.
