From what we can tell, Gloria's been pressured to fit into a cookie-cutter person so her parents (particularly her father) can profit off it. I wonder if she does actually some natural talents that just haven't had a chance to be developed because she's been so busy trying to fit into the young author/famous young person mold that her family demands. Maybe once she's away from their influence, she'll start developing into her own person. I hope so. Being forced to act like someone you're not is very depressing.
