Homeschooled.
I was homeschooled up until high school, and I never misspelled tomarrow...wait. Shit!

I'm not knocking homeschooling in general. I was homeschooled for a time as well. But I had a curriculum. I bet you did too. Gloria's curriculum consisted of ego stroking exercises and writing shit novels.

Yeah. My friend got a used copy for I think $3.

So used copies are still floating around? Fantastic. I've tried to collect some of the works of Really Internet-Famous Authors. Tesch's books have eluded me, because last I checked it wasn't available on Amazon, and Tesch's publisher had the book available at some ridiculous price. I would have just bought the Kindle version, but Tesch has apparently given it another round of editing and removed all the funny stuff. I'm all for preserving literature in its *ahem* original form.

Does she ever turn into Medusa chick in the book? Or fight that thing and find out it's a part of her somehow and killing it would also kill her but then they can merge together into one super being?
Because that would actually be fucking cool
Well, I read the book a while back (and by that I mean I read ConjugalFelicity's sporking of it. Same thing really) and I'm pretty sure that, no, she does not turn into a gorgon.

I've read (okay, let's be honest here, tried to read) some of Keeper Martin's Tale by Robert Stanek, and I can say Conjugal Felicity's spork is really conclusive. I might imagine the Maradonia sporks really cut to the heart of the matter as well.

(Stanek is unfortunately not as funny as Tesch. Ran into him when he was being repressed by those good-literature-hating Wikipedia editors who wanted to delete his obvious sockpuppet-written articles. And now Amazon has nuked all his reviews too.)

Yeah, they really are. Damn funny too, well worth a read.

(His reviews were taken down? Now that's a shame, they were fun to read.)

Stanek's sockpuppet reviews have been taken down?? This I gotta see (Heads over to Amazon.com) Well after taking a look at a couple of his books and looking at the reviews, there is nothing there. Wonder if the same thing will ever happen to Tesch's books.

That's a pity. I think Gold of Ophir is floating around right now, cheap. Maybe the first book will resurface eventually?

Yep, that happened some time last year. Also, his sockpuppet-filled forums haven't had a whole lot of activity lately.

Stanek has been sockpuppeting elsewhere, though. He spammed some reviews on Goodreads. Someone posted bad reviews of books on Goodreads and as a result Stanek accused him of harassing children and his fans.

And of course he no longer needs to sockpuppet all by himself, he simply bought some Facebook and Twitter followers wholesale - I bet he got a discount for being an industry pioneer of sorts.

I'm really curious about where the Tesch family gets its money. The father is an extremely creepy man from Germany, and the mother is from Russia. I've heard things about the way Papa Tesch conducts his business, scamming people out of several thousand dollars. I doubt we'll ever know the whole truth, but they do seem to have an endless amount of cash to sink in to their daughter.

Seeing as how you mention the Tesch patriarch making money by scamming people, makes me wonder if he would ever get busted by the cops in a sting operation or something similar. If he loses his case against lawsuits, I can imagine Gloria Tesch actually trying to take a real job or even taking a less than desirable job. Getting back to papa Tesch, where did you get the information of him being from Germany?

He has followers know?? Okay, it must be friends, family, and trolls. Any combination of the three though I feel like it's mostly likely trolls.

An interview with her.

Thanks bradsternum, also she actually had an interview!? I'm guessing the interviewers were bribed by Papa Tesch. That said, has anyone ever saw one of Gloria's pictures, I swear some of the clothes she wore kinda made her look like she was less of a writer and more of a "Lot-Lizard" if you get what I'm saying.

No, as it turned out, he didn't have any True Honest Fans. Stanek had his sockpuppets in Amazon and his forum, but I guess at some point he just ran out of steam. I guess spending hours and hours pretending to be other people took a toll on his sanity or something.

And then people invented Facebook and Twitter! Oh no, not another website! He had built his sockpuppeting empire on this Web 1.0 stuff, and he must have been in horrifying agony when people invented this Web 2.0 bullshit. He had to join, of course, because every author has to be in Facebook and Twitter.

And he had no followers whatsoever. Not even trolls. Well, there was that one Bulgarian real fan who's probably insane, but that doesn't really count, now does it?

So he did what all shady people do these days. You can actually buy Facebook and Twitter followers. There are companies that have turned sockpuppeting like this into an industry.

So for a long time, he had no followers. The next day, he had tens of thousands of followers. This was not suspicious at all. Big follower count means he is a respected author, right?

Fake radio interview is fake. I've done radio interviews in the past and they've ALWAYS plugged their own show prior to introducing the guest. Parents probably paid two legit DJs to conduct an interview.

Didn't know you could by Facebook and Twitter followers. Regardless, this just shows how pathetic Stanek is at trying to gain fans. I just wonder if he knows how bad he is at being a writer. Maybe he should just start a company like those who make sockpuppet fans for Facebook and Twitter.
