That's what I thought as well due to seeing one being used by a former classmate at the college I attend. Either way, isn't Gloria such a good Christian girl as she claims? It's not like she would dress immodestly or even do things that can be objectionable in the eyes of God and Jesus.

At least it looks like she's stopped writing. There's no indication that Maradonia Book 6, much less 7, will be coming out any time soon, from what I can see.
 
Oh lawd, I remember her. My husband and I used to read aloud lines to each other with a straight face and see how far we could go without laughing or feeling disgusted by her terrible writing.

It didn't last very long.

Hm, it may be a bit of an unfair comparison (I mean, Gloria isn't a member of KKK...), but I'm just thinking of Kitty Blair. She's a porn actress who joined the NPD, a German Neo-Nazi party. The Neo-Nazis got very pissed though when they found out that during her porn career Kitty had been having hankypanky with well-endowed dark skinned men. They kicked her out of the NPD.

Kitty and Gloria aren't completely similar (Gloria may be reactionary but she isn't a Nazi and Kitty is at least competent at something), but there is a resemblance nonetheless, methinks!

I also don't see her going into porn. She may have sex with guys then after the act she'll go: "now will you please buy this special edition signed version of Maradonia 1-3?"

In all fairness, aside from some bits about, dragons, ice zombies, and whatever the fuck is up with Bran and his direwolf, there's not much fantasy there. It's about as much of a fantasy as Couples Retreat is a comedy. If anything, it's more historical fiction-like
 
The Wall and the seasons are magical. Also, the reason there's a lack of magic is because magic died out with the dragons, which is explained early on. Now there are dragons in the world again there's going to be more and more magic. The amount of magic will grow along with the dragons and get stronger if others are born, which is possible since dragons can change genders and Dany's might interbreed.

Don't forget there's also at least 3 characters who
die and are brought back by magic
the magic of the red priests, giants, the many wargs of the books, the children of the forest, all the motherfucking prophecies (many of which have come true already) plus all the magical stuff from the past that gets mentioned like The Night's King. It's true that AGOT and ACoK read a lot like history, but starting with ASoS the amount of magic and its importance to the plot steadily grows.

But boo resurrection magic (unless it's on Tyrion, Tyrion should always live as he's fucking awesome)

I hope I didn't come off like I was being contradictory, I was just offering my view on it.

And I agree, CWCissey. GRRM has faked us out so much that we basically can't take deaths seriously any more.
