I can imagine Jace saying how he finds Gloria to be hot, especially with the rifle though since her mother is Russian, could ParkourDude91 have second thoughts? I mean he does play COD and the Modern Warfare series had your enemies compose mainly of Russians.

The only thing that makes Eragon original is dragons and stuff.... I never read the book but I can assume it's just some kid becoming a medieval version of a Jedi whose father is some kind of Suaron or Sarumon/Vader figure that is evil.

Would this count as a example of hackneyed, wannabe-Tolkien purple poetry that I made up?
"She swung her magnificent shining sword at the evil, infernal, ghastly demon. With a few parry's and riposte, she flip back elegantly like a butterfly and came at the demonic being with the full fury of Ares and the Incredible Hulk combined. She then casted an arcane gesture that brought forth a demonic being made of feces. The feces demon, so repugnant in both image and of scent, caused the opponent of it's summoner to despair like a wailing prisoner of war. The fair maiden warrior then beheaded her demon like a butcher beheading a pig."
Was that wannabe-Tolkien purple poetry? Was it good? Was it bad?

The dragon stuff is ripped off from The Dragon Riders of Pern series.

She cut the head off the other demon. The poo demon exist to bring her foe nothing but despair as a way to make the fight easier for her(It's a reference to the Golgothan from Dogma).

You beat me to it. But yeah Eragon ripped off quite a few sources. It's just that Star Wars and Lord of the Rings are the two most well known franchises ripped off by Eragon is all.

Maybe Gloria would've been noticed by a few more people if she ripped off Star Wars and/or Lord of the Rings instead of the Bible.

I read some of the Pern novels in middle school, I liked them quite a bit.
 
You know what I love about Eragon? Solembum Serious Ass, because truly, he has the greatest name in the history of literature. Tesch couldn't do better if she named one of her characters Austere Butt.
