But instead she has egotistical, enabling, possibly white-collar criminals for parents. That will likely not change considering she's near the point where what she was brought up on has been hardwired into her brain development. She'll probably end up like some of these sham book authors you see on the hilariously bad novelty item showcase websites. Also prostitution.
Agreed to everything except the last. Professional writers have to understand feedback, work with the market's expectations, and of course, edit the crap out of everything. There are always prominent examples of people who didn't, of course (E.L. James of
Fifty Shades infamy springs to mind) but they tend to have something unusual going for them: Stephenie Meyer struck gold by appealing to the bad-adolescent boy fascination, and James struck gold by appealing to the established Meyer fanbase who just wanted to see Edward and Bella fuck a lot. Maradonia doesn't hit any current cultural hot spots or even have any appeal besides lol material, so if Gloria wants to make it as an author, she'll have to do it the old-fashioned way with the hard work.
I don't see that happening, though. Gloria's ego has been indulged too much, and my guess is that she flits to anything that promises positive feedback. When she was younger, she had the 'precocious novelist' thing, but now she seems more into music and modeling. My guess is that once the movie project sputters out, Gloria will capitalize on her looks and leave Maradonia behind; why bother typing all day when you can film yourself dancing around with a bunch of people paid to look like they're your awesome friends?
She'll party through college and then smack face-first into the real world around age 25 or so, once her parents get fed up with supporting her or just lose their money. Then she'll go back to writing in desperation and try to dig up the World's Youngest Novelist thing, find she's Old Meme and then,
maybe, she'll learn to write decently. I can see her churning out potboilers for Harlequin or maybe starting an indie fantasy series when she's in her thirties. But by indulging her as much as they have, the Tesches have done a lot of damage to a creative kid and it may not be possible to undo.
