In my (admittedly limited, so I could be wrong) experience with horses, its ears aren't pinned totally back so it might just be listening to something. That being said, if they're both novices (I'm sure Gloria is, guy might be too), the horses might not be having that great of a time anyway.

Yeah, anyone who pisses away money on something totally stupid really doesn't deserve it back, especially a known con-man. I wonder how a man who couldn't even keep up mortgage repayments managed to raise $800,000?

The poster who made all these claims about the movie being in his possession hasn't offered a single shred of evidence that what he's saying is the truth so I still find the 800,000 dollar figure to be unreliable. I know a good con-man like Gunther will have made quite a bit of money in the past but I can't imagine him having nearly a million dollars lying around to piss away on this film. Anybody could sign up on here and claim they got a DVD and heard that Gunther had spent millions upon millions on the movie. That doesn't mean we have to take their words at face value.

To be fair, I can see Grandpa Tesch throwing that number around in the hopes that it will both make him look like a Hollywood-level director and convince a distributor to buy it for a higher price.

That's true, I just feel like it'd be quite easy for him to prove he's being honest, he's provided no evidence what he's saying is actually fact so I'm cautious about the numbers he's throwing around.

To be fair what he said is exactly how I'd imagine Gunther has been faring when it comes to finding a studio to distribute Maradonia. I'd imagine the only way he'll be able to make some money from the film will be self distribution just like he ended up doing with the Maradonia Sega.

Maybe Gloria is actually abjectly miserable at the life her father has forced her to live, and she's planning on murdering daddy in his sleep, and skipping away to a non-extradition country. Or she's planning on having one of her boy-toys do it, and pinning the whole thing on him, and collecting a fat insurance policy. My theory is just as valid as the "she'll do porn at some point" people.

Every time someone with real-life experience of a cow comes on to the Farms people immediately start yelling "Fake!" "Sock!" "Ween!" This causes them to leave and the Farms to lose prime sources of intel.

Don't get me wrong, I've seen what you're referring to happen time after time again but all I'm saying is that it's unwise to assume every single bit of Intel posted on here is fact. As I've already said it wouldn't take much for the poster to prove the validly of what he's saying. I mean look at the last bit of information we received about the Tesch's house being in foreclosure. We wouldn't have been completely sure that was true if he hadn't actually shared a link and photographs proving it.

All I'm saying is that anybody could sign up and post what the poster in question did and say they couldn't show the movie to us even though they had it because it would go against their personal ethics. I don't think that's unreasonable.

We knew Tesch was taking the film to some film makers, trying to hock it. We know that the Tesch's rely on status, so of course Gunter would brag about Gloria. The only new info is the budget and I can't why anybody would turn up just to "troll" us over something so minor. What's to be lost if you believe this "ruse"?

As he said, uploading the film is illegal, and if he works in the fucking film industry I imagine he's got pretty strong anti-piracy morals. Don't demand something that could potentially get someone sued.

TL;DR- this is kiwi farms, it's not important. You can choose to believe whatever, just don't be that guy who shits up a thread calling the Intel a liar after every post they make.

When you put it like that it's an inconsequential thing to get annoyed over, my apologies.

I guess I'm just quite interested in seeing the Maradonia movie and how bad it is. Actual Gloria is just like a normal bratty teenager when you take away the Maradonia stuff so it's where most of the interest lies with me. I can't see Team Tesch being much of a threat but of course it's not worth getting into trouble over.

I think I have to agree- if you took away all the Maradonia and spoiled-daughter syndrome she'd just be an average teen girl obsessed with looking pretty/popularity. So far from looking at all the posts on the Maradonia facebook page etc., it seems rather like it'll end up as one of those D-grade things that utterly misuse their budget to the point they look like a university short-film challenge. The majority of the actors don't look even remotely suited to the supposed fantasy environment they're acting in. Speaking as a (sad but true) ex-LARPer, I've seen better costumery and acting from re-enacters and Larp players, which is saying a lot given some of it was pretty damn borderline autism.

Well said. I missed that the guy is in the film industry. If it got out that he leaked a film before release, even a bad one, he'd be fired at a bare minimum. He'd probably be blacklisted from the industry as well, and sued, and he might even face criminal charges. So I'll wait for the direct-to-video release. They're not just gonna let their pride and joy languish in unrelease. They'll get the movie out there somehow. It won't be the big release the Teschs want, but it'll get released.

Leaking the movie would also give the Tesches a legal and moral high ground, which is anathema to a forum dedicated to watching egomaniacs hoisting themselves by their own petards.
