Wait, whoa whoa whoa, did she just say that 9/11 was the harbinger of the maradonia prophecy? She totally did.

That wasn't even in the original book. She "fixed" a few things and then added the 9/11 bit for the ebook.

............. ಠ_ಠ

And if some loyal fanmember (read: nobody) ponies up the remaining $20,000 she needs for "costumes and animation", it might as well be.

For costumes, she just shouldn't bother.

We know Gloria just wants to get her jugs out for the Hell of it anyway, so why not? Also, paperbags are free from any store I believe, and a picture of Natalie Portman's face can be printed from the Internet. I'm also pretty sure the Tesch's will have some Sellotape around the house anyway, so there we go. Our costume!

This idea is so beautiful and perfect.

That'll be sure to increase the hilarity by tenfold.

Yes, it was an actual plot point in the book. Funny thing is, when critics called bullshit on a lot of stuff in the printed edition of the book, they fixed a lot of stuff for the ebook release. Only they made the 9/11 stuff even more cringeworthy.

As I recall there was a small off-hand reference to the "prophecy" in the book. In the ebook, they basically pointed it out in no uncertain terms.

I don't recall much about a prophesy that could relate to 9/11. I'd love to say OH YEAH I'LL GO CHECK THAT MYSELF and then I remembered my friend has the first book and is never around when I need her.

Their watches stop at 3:16, huh? That's about as subtle as those guys who hold up signs saying "John 3:16" at sporting events. And she already has the rainbow clown gear to wear while doing that. One sheet of posterboard, one marker. Cheap as.

My theory on Glo-Glo's slow delivery is that the first fifteen takes were shot while she still had molly in her system, and was talking at 45 rpm. Finally they made her read off cue cards for the sixteenth take...

Well, I heard Maradonia does rip off the Bible. Imagine if their watches were to stop at 4:20.

The book would be infinitely better, and nobody would think it was evil to care about the environment.

The book itself is a danger to the environment.

Gloria sure has a weird relationship with her mom...
Oh man I hope the makeup has to do with her being in a scene and not what she wears every day. Considering what Gloria wears though....

And Greek/Roman mythology. And Narnia.
The very opening of Gold of Ophir rips off the story of Prometheus. She doesn't even try to hide it.

Maradonia, the TRUE and HONEST movie adaptation. Costume design by Christian Weston Chandler.

I wonder how much the guy got paid to hold her and look like he's enjoying himself?

Indeed it is. So many trees were killed to create it.

The most unexpected thing about all this is that she actually edited her books in some capacity.

I have no idea what's even going on in that picture. I don't think I want to know.

Can someone please tell me what is the Enchanted Lake all about in the Maradonia series?
