I am honestly in awe that Watermelon is still at it when we've by and large stopped capping Gloria's fapbook for months. Autism never changes.

I'd say this a confirmation that nearly everyone in the movie came from their church. Probably was easy to con them into not being paid by saying some bullshit about how acting in Maradonia is God's work because of all the badly written religious bullshit.
God I wish we got a doc out of this, like Audience of One.

Imagine that but with Herr Gunter.

Actually there's a lot of parallels here, this guy even forced his daughter into the music world, something about churchgoing egomaniacs wanting to become stars.

That is perfect. I could actually see Team Tesch calling it God's calling simply for the reason that they were at it for five years and none of the Tesches died throughout the process... I mean, yeah, they're now bankrupt, divorced, married off for financial gain and with a -20 reputation in the film industry, but God.

I am in awe that he is that pathetic but has somehow resisted the urge to kill himself all these years.

LOL! Just checking out the Maradonia video and somebody from Team Tesch got a little drunk and angry with some of the posters. It appears, after some digging, that this is the woman who played Fairy Ceara, namely the black one. An interesting point is her husband is the guy that calls out, "come forth sprit of Kerry!" They're also friends of the Tesch's which might indicate this is how they got so many untalented people to act in their movies, they just asked people they know.

Note that she says: "Stop this nonsense..." -- just like her character does in the movie.

Just to highlight how ridiculously overpriced Gloria's 'jewelry' is, I checked out prices on etsy to see how much it would cost me to go to etsy, buy the beads used in one of her necklaces and make it myself (I'm a hobby jewellery maker who occasionally sells pieces). I went to etsy because it's where I get my supplies and it's easy to search but if she's getting her shit from turkey it's going to be wholesale prices and they probably came already assembled.

The listing:

Snow White" Healing Energy Necklace
$150.00
$135.00
Beautiful Bohemian Jewelry from Turkey
Limited Edition Healing Stones
Quartz Snow White Gemstones with Lavender Flourite Gems and rare Obsidian Black Gems.

http://www.gloriatesch.com/store/p22/"Snow_White"_Healing_Energy_Necklace.html

The components and their prices:

round matte white quartz beads: $10.50 for a strand. The sample necklace contains probably 2 strands, so $21
round faceted obsidian beads: $4.50 for a half strand. There are only a few obsidian beads in the whole necklace so you'd probably only use a quarter of the strand per necklace.
round purple flourite beads: $6.45 for a strand. Again, she would only need maybe a quarter of a strand because there are so few flourite beads used.

All of the beads look to be 10mm and all the prices I found were for 10mm beads, so the materials are identical. I made sure to find stones that were genuine and natural rather than dyed or plastic.

So the total cost of the beads from etsy would be $31.95 AUD or 24.51 USD and you'd have enough obsidian and flourite left to make 3 more necklaces.

My friend who is a professional artist and jewellery maker told me you should sell at about 3 times your material cost for the project as a way of pricing your labour. She needed about 1 and a half strands of white quartz, so roughly $16 worth, plus $4 worth of flourite and obsidian. That's $20 AUD times three, which gives a grand total of $60 AUD rrp, which is $46 USD. Throw in a few more bucks to cover incidentals and Gloria SHOULD be selling those necklaces for about $50 USD.

There is no such thing as limited edition gems, btw, so it's not like that accounts for the $100 extra. She's not using special rare stones that are hard to get ahold of. I don't think she's making them herself so she shouldn't be including labour in her pricing. It's very basic stuff and she's marked it up by about 10 times what she paid for it.

If anyone's wondering why I listed prices in AUD it's because I'm in Australia and etsy automatically puts prices into AUD for me.

Damn you. Now I want to see both the behind the scenes documentary and the actual movie if it was ever completed.

Honestly she comes off as a little amateurish but I'll say one thing, she's cuter than Glo-Glo. There's an earnestness there that is missing from anything that Glo-Glo ever did.

The docs great, won't ruin it for you if it was ever finished or not.

I read up on it and I'm in the process of searching for it online. But in reading I did find out that his magnum opus was never completed and they only managed to film two scenes. Also his German backer backed out of the project. And I'm not going to say so but in my mind, I'd like to think it was Herr Tesch.

Throw in a few more bucks to cover incidentals and Gloria SHOULD be selling those necklaces for about $50 USD.
And if she did, she might actually make some sales. It's not like she has a brand or something which people will pay extra for, like Chris and Trump. Glo Glo beads aren't any better than beads from any random Etsy.

Because I hate myself enough, I got my hands on Maradonia and the Seven Bridges.

The abridgments and sporkings do not do this thing justice.

How do you manage to get your hands on a physical copy anyway?

I live in Canada and Amazon won't ship to us Canucks

Amazon marketplace of the US and A.

Even better, the store I went with didn't even say it was signed, so pleasant surprise. (Then again, given Tesch's ego, probably every copy in existence is signed.)

Of course each copy is signed. Don't you know how dedicated her fanbase is? Just ask the people who waited in line for over two-and-a-half hours or the guy who got an autograph on his forehead. He was so mesmerized with the autograph, in fact, that he never washed his face again; the horrible outbreak of acne was a small price to pay.
