Although I hate to make unsubstantiated claims, my gut is telling me there may be some sort of a connection here. So, here is what I found:

The Tennessee Secretary of State https://tnbear.tn.gov/entitysearch/ brings up nothing for Save Asian Souls, nor does the Georgia SoS https://ecorp.sos.ga.gov/BusinessSearch However, the Texas SoS http://www.sos.state.tx.us/corp/sosda/index.shtml website shows us that a NPO named Save Asian Souls was formed on December 17, 2015. The three managers/directors are Jerry M Cherry, James R Brown (who I assume is Ron Brown), and Millard Smith.

It's not completely implausible to do so but I find it kind of odd that a small NPO was formed in TX, operates in TN, and is registered with the IRS in GA. Since Jerry Cherry lives in Red Boiling Springs, that explains the Tennessee connection but I have no idea how/where Georgia comes into play. I don't have anything to go on but I just can't shake my suspicion that something ain't quite right here...

So this is a new scam? It might just be a renamed organization with the same people when the old one got shut down for tax evasion or whatever. Torch it for the insurance money, as they say in Goodfellas.

It's for tax evasion and trying to tie up the FTC whenever they get called out for fraud. Go to TN, "Nope, it's run out of TX". Go to TX, "Sorry, but our main office is in GA". Go to GA, "Wish I could help, but our CEO lives in TN". Rinse and repeat.

The old shell game. Wasn't that why Gunter fled Germany in the first place? I wonder where he'll go if things go South in America.
 
Just got word that Gunter is still trying to call my brother-in-law, a low budget distributor here in Los Angeles. How can this make sense if they've got a director and 30 million budget lined up for the sequel?
 
I really hope that gunter is involved with the Chinese trying to scam them. Lol I'll laugh when he's got some intricate confidence scam lined up and he gets in a cab at the shanghai airport, drives out to the country to meet another cab and they beat the shit out of him and get him to authorize 10,000usd in credit card transactions before leaving him there with no passport.
 
My brother-in-law felt sorry for Gunter: when you find out no one wants your movie, it's devastating. He won't jerk Gunter around for more info, but he was saying that Gunter was still trying to sell the first movie. Obviously, it's so slipshod as to be unsellable, but to be fair, some director could possibly think that, with professional production values, another movie from the same material might be viable. However, as previously noted, the specific details they're claiming for this sequel seem fabricated by someone with no knowledge of the business: they feel like lies from someone who doesn't know the right lies to be telling.

He needs to do what Tommy Wiseau did and put up weird billboards to promote it and screen it in local theaters in the hope a reviewer sees it and writes an article about how comically bad it is and college students show up to see the trainwreck. Then just release it straight to Youtube for the ad revenue.
 
Maradonia really could make back some money in the "so bad it's good" category, but this is such a contradiction of the "Gloria Tesch prodigal genius" crap they've been peddling for so long, I'm not sure they could handle going there emotionally. The Tesches are a little bit like the family, and the father/daughter dynamic, in Ibsen's "Wild Duck." They seem to live this "life illusion" that's so clearly a lie, yet even though they're the ones lying, I get the sense it would destroy them to admit it to each other out loud. Kind of freaky, now that I think about it, that like daughter Hedvig in the tragic play, Gloria now maybe seems to have a pet duck!

I agree the ring(s?) are very outdated. This is coming from someone who doesn't give half a fuck about engagement rings but I did used to work in a pawn shop where people hawked theirs to pay for their baby daddys jail and such. However I think most of this crap is really ugly so I don't know I guess.
 
So does anyone else think the 'sequel' page might be linked somehow to that burn victim looking guy and his Save Asian Souls thing? It'd be pretty random for some troll to put a Chinese actor in the lead. It'd also be random for the Teches... unless they are getting scammed by/scamming with that guy to try and make it out like they'll be the movies that will convert China to Christianity or something?

It feels like she probably got sucked into his pay me to make you famous classes, and then they made this fake show together to try to suck others in.

That's my guess, it happens pretty often.

Holy shit, I think you may be right. Save Asian Souls is helping Gunther fund Maradonia 2: The Sequel as a way to convert those filthy heathens, and Richie Reichel is using his connections in the Chinese film industry to get "stars" to appear in it. I know that's completely bizarre but it totally fits in with how Gunther and the Family Tesch operate.

With both Gerry and Richie being German, borderline-fundamental religious right, and living in Palm Harbor, I'm almost certain they're (at the very least) church buddies.

I kinda doubt that Gerry let Glo-Glo get taken in on such an obvious scam; I'm sure Gerry is cognizant enough to recognize other scams for what they are. I think it's far more likely that Gerry and Richie are going into a "business venture" together and Glo-Glo/Maradonia are the perfect candidates to serve as the legitimate-looking front end.
