This is grade A copium. Also, the standard leftwing, 'rewrite definitions to suit us' narrative all in a neat little package.

They have to know Biden is going to eat a massive L from the media declaring a recession under his term.
They control the media. This was them sending a message to their assets in American Pravda -- you are NOT allowed to call this a recession. Combine that with our good buddies the fact checkers, who will deboooooonk any mention of this, alongside our useful idiots on the left (Last week: Biologists, week before that, Virologists, this week: Financial Experts) screaming about how EVERYONE KNOWS that's not the definition of a RECESSION...

Well, should be a fun weekend.

Try to read this article without laughing.

I sort of believe it. Look at the used car market. I've seen articles saying that prices are going down, yet the value of my late 2000 model Jeep just keeps going up everytime I look at Craigslist, FB marketplace, Canadian second hand sites. And the dealer prices...fuck me. I am thinking about reinsuring my Jeep at the next price level. From experience, I know for sure that they look at the market first rather than simply KBB for totaled vehicles. They couldn't find one of mine and I ended up with twice as much as I paid for it in settlement because the next best market value they could find was that inflated.

It is interesting though to see so many Pavement Princesses rolling around. The gas/diesel mileage has to be shit and the amount of money they threw in to alter the suspension and steering and exhaust...fuck, I mean what are these people paying in tires alone?

Icky plebs committed the Crime of Noticing the goalposts moving. Which is why we need to move the goalposts.

Because inflation makes cars more expensive too?
Yep. When you need a car, you need a car. It isn't exactly like a new TV. You need it for your livelihood and it is non-negotiable. Often people don't plan for this obvious outcome and they have to accept whatever predatory loans at shit prices are available or lose their jobs, housing, etc.

The hoopla with the first gas turbine is just about resolved and Gazprom have announced there is a problem with another turbine and gas flow will be reduced further pahahahahaha :story:

"We ain't in a recession until the jakey bums are throwing their bindles over their shoulders and hopping freight trains to the Hoovervilles in Hoboken, Jack!"

"Listen, it ain't a recession until you can count your ribs, Mack! Cmon, man!"

These sum it up, its going to get even more expensive anyway. And after that, there won't be any left even if you could afford them, there just isn't any left in the recession once stocks are gone.

Bigger worry is in parts. Parts can be hard to find or expensive or with long lead times. That can suck even if you can afford the part and the mechanic (if you need one).

But yeah, even with the inflated used market, I have never found it to be cheaper to have a new car with payment and full coverage and all the maintenance anyway over a used car bought in cash with comp or liability insurance depending on the condition of car driven. Especially since new car payments are just absolutely insane as of late.

Well, I mean you can't build a car without the parts either.

30’s. Every modern day leftist wants to be the next FDR, with income taxes at 90%, the Supreme Court packed to hell and signing off on any unconstitutional law in front of them, confiscation of gold, companies forced to operate at a loss, and of course doing everything in their power to go to war with the designated evil enemy nation. FDR is their god, because he did everything that they want to do in the present.
10's. The creation of the, both unconstitutional, (((Federal Reserve))) and (((income tax))) was the real starting point.
