None of how he behaved leading up to this was held against him, but the moment he actively turned against the troons, suddenly he is, and always has been, a terrible person. And part of the sign of that is that this likely could only be published in the Daily Mail. Is there any other UK newspaper (or, well, 'newspaper') that would even have it on their website?

I don't think he's gone at all right-wing, except in how anyone who doesn't automatically support True and Honest women is an alt-right Nazi. I doubt he's going to reconsider anything about his other behaviours for the last five years except for now knowing the truth about Jake Alley, something he could have found out years ago. So I'm not certain the allegations of an institution being an historical supporter of Nazism is equally applied.

At the end of the day Linehan burned his career for a point of principle. I'm willing to give the man some respect for that.
