They're stuck in a different era. Graham Linehan, Mitchell and Webb, etc., belonged to the cultural zeitgeist of the 1990s and 2000s, the rest of the world has moved on while they haven't. It's the same reason why games like Earthworm Jim or Toejam and Earl feel incredibly dated if you play them today.

There's a certain... Ironic beauty to watching Graham get eaten alive by the very ideology he helped prop up. While many people would defend to the death his own right to say whatever he wants, I suspect that you will be very hard pressed to find anyone who willingly comes to his defense right now.

And that reason is that at no point has he shown even a sliver of contrition for what he's already said and done to countless others in the name of almighty SocJus. I don't care whether you're talking about his being a giant weeping anus during the Autism Holy War, the bullshit he said and did during Dankula's trial, or the countless times he pushed the narrative of the Stop Having Fun brigade and argued that people deserved to have their lives destroyed over having an opinion he didn't like.

And that's the fucking core of the problem right there: Linehan's excessive fucking hubris.

At no point has he even shown the slightest inclination that he was wrong about anything, nor has he shown any gratitude whatsoever for those who have actually stuck their necks out so far on his behalf, which is exactly why watching him get destroyed by his own side is fucking hilarious. If he was at any point capable of admitting he was wrong, and showing genuine fucking remorse for what he's done, then I could see people defending him, but right now?

He's still championing the deplatforming of others even as they're coming for him.
I'll happily watch his dumpster fire burn and put on some popcorn.

That's the thing with these people, they think if they parrot enough woke talking points long enough, the deplatforming brigade will never come for them. But why he didn't see it coming that going full TERF would get him ousted I don't know.
