If that's true, then I want to make it perfectly clear that I will be pirating anything of his that I want to watch in the future.
As far as GG goes, it won't be dead for long if Sargoy has his way unless he's already given up on it, which wouldn't surprise me either way.
 
The first time I saw Glinner's face and actually talking instead of writing TV, it was on a Charlie Brooker special about video gaming culture. While I disagreed with his flippant attitude towards games as making you play characters he deemed nasty (Call of Juarez - Bound in Blood, prequel story to the character's arc was that he would become a priest in the first game as a result of his shit attitude getting someone killed), I at least took it as stuff that you could have loads of stimulating conversations about.

Years later seeing him on Twitter just struck hard how utterly useless it is to try to discuss things with him. He just likes to talk. His warped worldview is akin to a fucking incel, and that's the kind of shit he'd hate to see in the mirror if he ever bothered looking in it. It would be less tragic if he was a flat-earther instead of this narcissistic, spineless, hypocritical husk of a comedy writer.

Gamergate will always exist so long as people make shitty games, and then when someone says they're shitty, they'll start screaming about Gamergate and how their critics are literally Hitler.

I never really liked The IT Crowd to be honest. I think it's because it had Chris Morris in it. Morris did the excellent Brass Eye, Four Lions and The Day Today but in The IT Crowd he's just another character in a sitcom. If he'd have written it, it would be have been a lot funnier.

Still a lot of people did like it and Linehan was celebrated in the media. Now he's like a zoomer edgelord who has non PC Twitter rants, gets banned, comes back and does the same thing again and it's clear the lefty media have decided he's well and truly black listed no matter what he does or says in future.

So he's gone from defending controls on speech for Dankula to getting well and truly nailed by them, rather in the way people like Bukharin were destroyed by the system they championed. Couldn't happen to a nicer person I guess.
