This is the same BBC which kept The Sky At Night running as a weekly show when Sir Patrick Moore was alive when the show was running on less than 200,000 viewers and still keeps it going now as a monthly show on BBC Four. The Beeb will always keep a show running if they know there's interest. And there was no interest in Linehan's latest turd.

Of course, being the BBC, they replaced the beloved Moore with a chubby Nigerian ditz who dresses like a deck chair. But that's off topic for this thread.

David Baddiel too?

Goddamn our 90's comedians are turning out to be cunts...

This is exactly how Stephanie Guthrie, Zoey Tur and countless other special snowflakes react when someone says something they don't like. In fact, Graham's tweet is eerily similar to Zoey Tur's after the Ben Shapiro incident.

In fairness, even if I don't agree with him, Baddiel was at least reasonable about it. Graham just kept behaving like the child he is to everyone who disagreed with him.

Still, sadly, better than most of the 70's and 80's entertainers...

Also, Baddiel is probably too close to public 'celebrity' to be even be considered as a proper lolcow (at least in the UK), given he still tours shows. Linehan on the other hand appears to have really gone off of the rails, which is a shame because he did write some really good stuff in the form of Father Ted, Black Books & IT Crowd.

Speaking of that, what has Glinner done at all recently? (Not related to Twitter)

Late to the thread but :powerlevel: I used to follow his twitter because I love The IT Crowd. Never really got into Father Ted (his other "baby" - whilst popular it didn't appeal to me) or Black Books (a show he helped co-write).

I unfollowed him because for a good while whenever someone tried to have an argument with him about GamerGate or other videogame related stuff he'd retweet his opponent's tweet and add "VIDYA TIDDIES" and variants of that onto it.

Im sure he wrote an article for the guardian in which he basically treats all the claims from anti gamer gate as gospel (including the deagle nation and gamergate killing briannas dog and rape threats )whilst dismissing any negative claims about them.
There was some fucking condescending comment in it like if I have more followers on twitter than the person disagreeing with me then i dont have to listen to them because im automatically right. Like having a bunch of morons hanging on your every tweet makes you qualified to talk about any subject.
So fuck him.

Anyone wanna remind him he dedicated a full episode of father ted and the IT crowd to laughing at femininists ?

I guess i can still enjoy the show in the same way i can control a Roman Polanski movie by just not thinking about who made it.

Just remembered Graham Linehan co-wrote a few episodes of Brass Eye (which was a bloody good show).

Oh how the mighty have definitely fallen.

Big train (first season) and fast show also recieved additional material from him.
He even got his kid into a episode of adventure time and was supposed to be writing an episode for them.

Is he pulling a simon pegg and trying to alienate his fanbase.

All I know about Big Train is that Julia Davis (creator of Nighty Night and partner of Mighty Boosh co-creator Julian Barratt) was in it.

A little off topic. This is the episode of Brass Eye that Linehan co-wrote for those who are interested:

He stole a joke from this and based an entire IT Crowd episode around it, BTW. "Peter File".

EDIT: I don't actually think Linehan co-wrote this one, however he DID contribute some material to Brass Eye (will look and see what episodes he does receive writing credits on). However he DID indeed steal the "Peter File" joke from this episode for use on the IT Crowd which means that he either did contribute to this one and didn't receive credit, had seen the script for this episode, or saw the episode during its initial broadcast back in the early 2000s.

And that was the funniest Brass Eye episode!

Also, I doubt many of the Paedo-apologists will be happy with that episode...
