I strongly suspect now that half his "TROLLS ARE LITERAL MURDERERS AND RAPISTS AND PSYCHOPATHS!" schtick is due to a desperation to make his tantrums look like some heroic fight against dangerous criminals rather than an effectively unemployed middle aged man throwing tearful shitfits because people mocking him on the internet. The other half ofc being a desperate attempt to ingratiate himself with a SJW mob who would rip him apart should any of them care enough about him to look at how his works tend to treat women.
