It's good that he quit and called them out publicly for trying to censor his reporting, but like most of the other "liberal" dissidents (Singal, Weiss, Herzog, etc), he only cared when it hit too close to home. These people kept their mouths shut, or worse yet, directly participated in the construction of this Corporate Woketard Dystopia until they were cast out for wrongthink. For fucks sake, several of the people he thanks on his way out proudly support censorship and political violence. Don't expect me to take your whining about Bolsonaro and his fan club seriously when most of your friends and colleagues openly support Antifa. Don't expect me to roll out the welcome wagon when most of these fucks don't have the honesty or decency to admit their role in this shit, or apologize to the people who were ruined by it.

Glenn the greasy sex tourist never struck me as this paragon of honest journalism he’s made out as. As if Pierre Omidyar never had any ulterior motives when he bankrolled the Intercept all those years ago. Wonder what’s in those parts of the Snowden leaks he didn’t release?

Nigga, call me back when Donald Trump stops openly supporting Antifa.

Here's what 'not supporting antifa' looks like: Have the FBI execute as many of these Zionist terrorists as Bill Clinton murdered children at Ruby Ridge. Seventeen little children were burnt to death there. Their lives didn't matter to the FBI. Why should antifa lives matter?

I'm not even asking for Trump to stop his FBI prosecuting people who fight back against antifa terrorists. Trump gave an FBI special agent an appointment as a federal judge for prosecuting people who defended themselves against Zionist antifa.

All Trump would have to do is have them kill one or two of the antifa puppets who work for his bosses.

He's had four years. He hasn't done shit.

Agreed, for the other ones on that list.
Not only did their criticism of wokeness only start when they themselves became targets, but it also remains pretty much restricted to the parts that affect them.

If the woke gave Jesse Singal an indulgence for his transgression into verboten journalistic territory (his reporting on detransitioners), he'd no longer see any problem with wokeness.

But I think this is actually less pronounced in Glenn Greenwald's case.
Glenn's opposition to mainstream liberals (and the Democratic Party in particular) seems to be more morally consistent on his part: He remains highly skeptical and critical of US intelligence agencies, whereas Trump-era mainstream liberals have fully embraced those agencies (just look how many retired CIA agents and similar get hired by liberal media outlets and get treated as infallible sages there).

In this sense. I feel that Glenn has a certain integrity that deserves respect - despite his many shitty political views (socialism, Islamophilia....) and weird hang-ups (like his personal "war" to overthrow the Brazilian president).

*laughs in Bolsonaro*

Hue hue hue hue hue hue hue.

Seriously, didn't he piss the Brazilians to the point they accused him of interfering with their government as a foreign agent and he cried "I'm being censored!!" all while accusing American government of being "Imperialist"?

Get fucked.

Also get fucked for getting South America politics so wrong he's basically one of Maduro's useful idiots.

Although the Intercept's opinions annoyed the shit out of me (because I was a war-monger and they were semi-pacifist), I at least respected their honesty and tenaciousness. Their series "The Crimes Of SEAL Team 6" was on point, their reporting on the Federal misconduct in the Bundy ranch case was great, and no one else seemed to be saying this stuff. Last year or two, they've basically been echoing the dem party line, with Glenn being the only motherfucker willing to go against the crowd.

Honestly, you sound like an undercover FBI agent.... and not a very good one.

It won't be long before The Intercept goes the way of Gawker.
I was going to post exploding but my kitty needed food and I forgot.

It's reddit that's seething:

Glenn's boyfriend is heavily involved in Brazilian political intrigue and Glenn is always running interference for him.

This is the first I've heard of the "Reality Winner debacle.

WTF had Greenwald been doing with the Intercept for the past couple of years? It seems totally compromised and he hasn't been willing to get things under control.

He wasn't in control anymore.

Even though he was one of the three founders, and initially co-editor-in-chief, and the most well-known name at the paper, he had already given away all his power over the paper and demoted himself to simple journalist employee (for reasons that elude me) before the time of the Reality Winner scandal.

Other journalists and editors at the Intercept handled the Reality Winner story.

Though there are allegations that Glenn was given the opportunity to call "dibs" on the story, seeing how he was the famous "whistle-blower advocate journalist" and Reality Winner probably only chose the Intercept because of him, but he allegedly refused to take it because he was busy with other stories and projects in Brazil.
If Glenn had taken the story, rather than leaving it to less experienced colleagues, maybe Reality Winner's cover wouldn't have been blown - or so his detractors say.
