A new Ghost in the Shell anime, this one a faithful adaptation of Masamune Shirow's original manga, is coming in July. As one of those freaky niggers who prefers the manga over the movies, I'm cautiously optimistic for this one.

God I hope there won't be any lezzie shit in this. Yuricucks will coom all over themselves and defend it with foam dripping out of their mouths like they do it with Signalis.

I heard SAC:2045 was pretty bad and frankly the animation style turned me away. I'm curious to hear how close this will have been to the manga since I've never read it. Either way I'll give this one a try.
I need to finish it, I watched most of season 1 and rather enjoyed it

It's going to be hard to do better than GitS: Stand Alone Complex.
At least they got a proper art style, unlike that awful Netflix show.

season 2 has some ok episodes like the green beret one but its hella trash.

the only good gits movie is the original un-3d first movie. 2 was visually good but the story gets byzantine by the middle.
2 is my favorite so I know we're going to have different opinions on this.

I think the worst season I've seen was season 2 of stand alone

It seems like I saw a clip of them introducing a black character that was a Chris Rock wannabe and it annoyed me greatly. I can't really remember though.

Aww I kind of liked SAC season 2.
Arise was terrible.
Solid State Society was pretty good.
Innocence was ok.
Haven't seen "The New Movie" from 2015
The '95 movie is closely tied to SAC season 1 for my favorite.

Looks like it will suck. What's with the baggy pants?

I should make an effort to watch the first two films in full, but these sorts of existentialist science fictions bore me.

>Aaahhhhh what does it mean to be human when technology gets so out of control???!!!

I don't care. If you cannot conceive of living a fulfilling life as a sentient toaster then you're simply a monkey who can read and write.

The second movie was pretentious as fuck.
Oshii joining the production of SAC for the second season was a mistake.

when it's not navel-gazing it's a lot of really fun tacitcool cybercop adventures

and that's why I like the manga more than the movies. the OG manga is I'd say 30% navel-gazing, 70% really fun tacitcool cybercop adventures.

The first movie, and ESPECIALLY the second, are 100% navel gazing. Haven't seen Stand-Alone Complex yet, so can't espouse my opinion on that.
