STORY: These Germans are trying
to dance the cold away
amid Europe's energy crisis
It's part of an initiative called
'Let's move - Tanzt Euch warm'
which translates to 'warm up by dancing'
They meet at this concert house every week
to brave sinking temperatures together

"So at the moment it's getting colder and colder outside. And that's a question for many people, including me, how we do things at home now. I'm thinking about how low I turn the heating. What is good? What should I wear? Dancing definitely helps because it really warms you up. So you can dance yourself warm, for example, by taking up the swinging, this bounce that you have all the time, or a triple step, bam-ba-bam-ba-bam."

Exactly zero sympathy. They made the decision to shut down nuclear plants in the middle of an energy crisis that they created by going along with the sanctions against Russia. It was their fault for thinking the war would be over soon and that the Russian economy was a house of cards.

Maybe a cold winter will start the cycle of hardtimes over again.
 
I wonder if these people thought the idea through.

As we can see below, using general dancing and a normal male body weight the total calories burned is 338 per hour. Lets say that they eat a 2000 calorie diet recommended by the government and each meal is broken down to three equal calorie meals or 660 calories.

Such they burned about half of one meal by dancing. I might be a fatass American but unless I was trying to lose weight after physical activity like that I like to have a small snack. Now this may seem like nothing but its another thing than needs to be produced, more food consumed, more packaging, and more foodstuffs that need to be transported.

By design, they are dancing to generate enough heat to warm the a dance hall with high ceilings. In doing so, one would have to dance with moderate effort to generate heat and sweat. This sweat would get ones undergarments, top, and other clothing articles dirty. Now unless they wear the clothes they have worn through the day to dance and wear it till they go home they will need to change clothes. While it might seem like a small number of clothing over a month it can be either a half a load or even a full load for smaller machines.

In conclusion, they are not only wasting calories that are needed to produce body heat, additional calories eaten to make up for those lost, a shower so they don't smell, but a load of laundry too. They would be much better under the blankets at home.
 
You know what does a nice job at raising internal body heat? MDMA. Feels good to go green, let's not think of the consequences until after suicide Tuesday.

Someone noted above that it is rich liberal scum who endorse such shit. Be advised that this a religion to those near, but not at, the top and they would literally dance themselves to death than admit being wrong.
 
I see Germany is still riding the train of stupid ideas. I do feel for the populace, though, because they have to live with their government's exceptional decisions. The best they can do is bundle up under wool and jackets and hope they don't get screwed over with inflation and food shortages at the same time.

The same people who chastise others for driving cars instead of riding busses and using heat during the winter instead of bundling up are the same people who screech and cry when the electric company remotes into their IoT thermostat and lowers the temps during the winter (and raises temps during the summer) to keep energy usage low.
