Apparently the new event lets you fish unlimited Koi (which are needed for The Catch). Might start acutally fishing now
New days of the event might give us unlimited fish of different types too.
only 50 per day, and getting the 2x 20 koi each is easy enough since it spawns in like 5 spots. you'll still be timegated by the electro fish which only spawns 3 every 3 days, and you need 18 for r5 (can still ninja it from other worlds like some desperate do).

doing a round trip to every spot once, maybe twice should net you enough to buy everything.

Hi, first time posting on this thread!

Idk if I'm the only one obsessed with the new fishing system but I was able to get the R5 Catch and all the fishing rods a week after the update dropped. The new fishing event is a total breeze since I come prepared with the rod for that area and it's easy to get all the rewards in one go.

I spent my whole weekend + holiday world hopping/begging to put get The Catch on R5 and turns out i could've waited for this event and get all the koi and puffings in one day. Hahaha... At least i got good at fishing am i right?

I haven't even touched the fishing mechanic aside from the tutorial quest, so I'm not really excited for the upcoming grinding I will have to do

Honey Impact, an info dump site that also hosted leaked data, was threatened by a DMCA from Mihoyo recently. They changed hosts and are back, and posted a new disclaimer at the bottom of their site:

Redditors are absolutely seething about the jab at the takedown notice's English mistakes, denouncing the request for legal correspondence to be grammatically correct as "racist." Yes, expecting a professional legal team of a billion dollar company to communicate clearly is racist, but assuming that English is too hard for those poor Chinese lawyers is not. I also saw a couple comments complaining about "making fun of PTSD." These people are so lame.

Is the PTSD horse thing a reference to someone in particular? Would be a weird way to insult someone otherwise.

The genshin Reddit community in general trying to turn this whole drama into a "racial issue" is some peak fandom cringe. Like, if you're upset the devs are hunting leakers then you're literally racist and if you think the devs are within their rights then you're a chingchong slave of who hates freedom.

While i'm mildly sad leakers wont help me plan my pulls, putting huge watermarks over the leaks and posting them on bilibili (chinese youtube) was very retarded so they had it coming.

Unrelated but i was a bit surprised the genshin thread on community watch is so short. I barely played 3 months and it feels like one of the most autistic internet comunities out there. Like, all the players i helped in the hopes of fishing in their world were pretty nice and casual but anyone who takes this game seriously is some level of insane.

This guy is retarded but based af tbh. I can easily see it being taken down again because its still hosting leaked stuff.

there's hardly any grind really. look up what pops up where, compare it to what you need, fish those, then change day/night, come back every 3 days, done.

under what legal pretense? and if they try underhanded shit again they can just host the subdomain in russia or whatever.

Probably MHY using the same jew lawyers Nintendo sicks on anyone hosting ROM’s of shit they havent let anyone buy in 20+ years. Though I’m just more amused at a Chinese company being upset their shits being leaked by someone else…

Some random comments i saw the leaks subreddit got me thinking.

Imagine having Zongli + Ganyu and complaining that you have to dodge lol. God forbid you a boss wont let you facetank everything with a shield and kill them in 2-3charge attacks.

I dont know what i'm doing right but i managed to win the electronid first time by simply unga bungaing with Diluc's overload so xingling should be enough. Next fights got a lot easier since it got the attack patterns down, just need to know the time to fight and the time to run away. This boss isnt that tanky even, i think magu kenki is much worse to fight.

What is wrong with genshin players??? Do people even look at the screen while playing? Everyone i helped in my fishing journey also had no idea how Regisvine worked, but at least those were newbie/casuals, not someone more informed with top tier characters.

Man i felt signora was such a great boss fight that requires actual long term positioning and strategy for once (rank 50), You cant (easily) yolo brute force it like every other boss fight since the hot/cold goes through shields and you might run out of healing. Barbara isnt even an option since you'll get frozen/vaped.

What's the consensus here over signora? I hope they dont nerf her and electronid but i can see that happening after the samurai nerfs and mandatory boss fight, sadly. I heard main story childe was also nerfed after release but weekly childe was left intact so that's less worse.

I pretty much ignore the heat/cold totems aside from standing near them for a few seconds to reset my meter, then keep rolling my face on the keyboard and Signora dies fairly quickly. Honestly, she's not that hard of a boss compared to the first time you fought Childe and he kicked your teeth in (for me, it was pretty much immediately after he was released). I went in expecting Childe 2.0 and took my double heal/shield murder team with max food buffs, but it really wasn't necessary at all. Signora's attacks are generally well choreographed and should they leave an AoE behind it's quite obvious.

I'd say Childe is only difficult because he's a glass cannon. Hits very hard and can kill you in a quick 3 hit combo but health is extremely low. Like, it's actually pathetic that you burst Childe down so fast, he dies before using half his moveset.

Signora seems designed to be the reverse, in the sense that she's durable and has shield piercing DoTs but her own attacks are very slow and/or kinda weak. Like, she does one slow whip lash every 10 seconds that did 1/3 hp~ at best. Her barrage has pretty much no range and her meteors and tornados are easy to dodge. She also has no real "one hit kill" move like childe's whale. If you have 1-2 spammy healers and dont ignore the hot/cold entirely, you basically cant die.

If Signora was the devs trying to make healers more viable than shielders, it's not perfect but it was a good attempt.

On the Electro Bat - you stand outside the bigass circles it makes and deal ranged damage for about a quarter of its HP, then just dodge and keep chipping. I’ve been doing with Ganyu and just having Noelle make Shields on demand, if I wasn’t focusing on other Bow users I’d just level Diona and do both in one. It’s not even that tanky, you just have to get it’s movement pattern down.

Signora, meanwhile, you actually have to be retarded to not get how to fight her - fucks sake, it gives you a prompt on her rematches explaining how shit works against her. She doesn’t even counter attack like Childe does when hit with the elements she uses - takes maybe 5-10 minutes to nuke her down with Klee and Ganyu.

Least both of them are more fun to fight then Azdaha - that fuckers just stupidly durable and applies DoT damage…

Signora is fine, she's a standard ARPG boss. The only slightly annoying thing about her fight is stamina management in between running to knock out the orbs and dodging her attacks, but it's nothing out of the ordinary. From the current weekly bosses, she's my favorite to fight because I can play a lot of different team comps on her and she doesn't get torn up like paper.

I'll second Leaf that Azdaha is the only fight that consistently gives me shit. I still wipe out to him the most of any Genshin boss because sometimes I lose track of the DoT and accidentally let a character die, which can snowball pretty bad depending on the comp. It also varies a lot because some weeks he has a good combination of elements that I can work around, other times, I have to put together some slapdash team with questionable synergy to avoid his resistances.

I’ll readily admit that with Azdaha, I just fight his Level 70 version, entirely to save time and frustration. It’s the same drop pool as his Level 90 version with far less HP, and his Level 90 fight is such a pain in the ass that it makes me happy they’re trying to move away from Facetank design…

Now if only they could stop making every other enemy teleport…

My only issue with Signora is the same one I have with like 95% of the recent enemies: THEY CAN'T FUCKING STAY PUT. Why does every single enemy need a fucking teleport/dash move?
I’m willing to give them one pass because this was the “Totally Not Japan” region, and weeb shit is known for dashes and teleports, but if they could cut that shit out for a region or two I think we’d all appreciate it.

That and making some enemies stupidly tanky - I’m looking at you Spectre’s, why are you such pains in the ass to kill, and why does Aloy need your mats instead of Ruin Machine drops?!

The specteres are a straight pain because they're meant to be small mook enemies that spawn in hordes but they take longer to kill than every other enemy for some stupid ass reason. I brought this up earlier but it only becomes more noticable the more powerful I make my characters as time goes on. Thay always float JUST out of range for melee attacks but since I can't be assed to lock one of my party to constant archer anymore since I already have qiqi as the locked constant healer and I want to try out more combos with the characters I've unlocked it'd be 2 slots stuck. Thing is though, archer classes don't damage them too much either, and their shots don't always land. You're stuck whittling down these fucking little floaty bastards health till they either die or decide to explode from the "rage meter" when they're near death anyways. They're like a worse and more prevalent whopperflower in how fucking dumb levels of tanky they are.
