Genshin Impact? I call it GenChink impact, because it was made by the red communist chinks. This is the one of those games where I wouldn't pay shit via microtransactions because of principles. I don't want to give my money to Winnie the Pooh and his red communist goons. But at least it has milkers that jiggle, something that new Final Fantasy games are scared to implement. Though it seems the game took inspiration from JRPGs. Paimon is obviously based on Navi from Zelda, the Merc sword is the buster sword and the slimes are probably yanked out of Dragon Quest. And there could be some subliminal political messages as well, being a game from commie chink land.
It would be pretty cool if someone made a SNES FF turn based or even Tales of Phantasia battle system demake. Or even better, a FF 1-3 NES sprite hack, and call it Genshin Impact 5. If I were to make a pirate FF 1-3 NES cartridge I'd definitely put Genshin Impact characters on the cover art in typical bootleg style.

I like Final Fantasy, Tales, and Zelda as much as the next guy, but fairy companions and slimes have been a common part of games since men were sitting around in caves determining if rocks are edible. You might have a point with the Old Merc's Pal with those two holes near the handle, but that's a stretch.

In terms of subliminal political messages, I've hit end game and there's nothing that isn't standard fare, and in some ways the execution of its own lore/cultures has been highly enjoyable and in many cases understated.

imo it was more annoyed that they both released a new event (which didn't really have anything to do with the story) and new land mass at the same time, I rather focus on exploring stuff at my own pace instead of being forced to run to points all over the map, not to mention the mandatory quest line and character filler quests they incorporated to pad it, I prefer to save that stuff for later when there's nothing to do anyway.
100% agree with you on this one. I made the mistake of hitting end-game early when Liyue was brand new and I wanted to take my time with Inazuma. The fact that the event placed nodes on the furthest island annoyed the hell out of me and honestly made the region feel a whole lot smaller.

Well, I still can't say "Tiananmen Square Massacre" in chat. And days before June 4th the weaboo commie chinks at Mihoyo disabled changing your username, passing it off as a bug. Bullshit, they did it to prevent people commemorating the Tiananmem Square Massacre of June 4th 1989. And then the next week the magically fixed the bug.

I just beelined to the event markers since I wasn't doing too much of the story, avoiding content unless it was directly in my path. The islands at least seem way less miserable to scour for stuff compared to Mond and Liyue, nightmare to fill up that completion percentage some places.

The more I see on Raiden the better she looks, apparently she got a pretty decent buff from the sounds of it. If Scar leaks are coming out by the time she releases though I might just hold depending on where that's headed.

That's less to do with nefarious Mihoyo chinks twiddling their mustaches, and more to do with the fact that the company can face serious repercussions from their government if they allow criticisms to happen. It's a complex issue and I don't see how they could've done much differently as a business without looking like absolute morons.

Fuck, those completion percentages are a killer. Weirdly I've covered more ground in Liyue than Mondstadt, no clue how that happened. And yeah, beelining and avoiding Archon-quest related content seems to be the way to go so it's what I've been doing too. I actually neglected with some of the furthest event nodes because I want the benefit of "discovering" those zones when they become story-relevant.

Dude I'm so pumped for Raiden, but if Scaramouche is incoming then I'll probably be reserving my primos. Been waiting for that guy for way too long and to be honest he seems like he'd have a unique kit. Not sure why, just a gut feeling. Maybe it's the hat LMao

Fun fact: beidous event actually despawns a few chests and time trial activators
not limited to the event, commissions and quest do that too. and annoyingly they despawn even ore nodes...
I don't mind that too much tho, prolly gonna scour every island with the compass again anyway and there's plenty of time before 2.1 and even later.

too many words dude, just say you won't play the game and go, it's okay to hate a game lmfao

in other news, according to leaks, during raiden's burst normal attacks will count as elemental burst damage, so i can finally freely farm the new fate set for her as it seems it's her best in set.

but i think i'll wait till the anniversary leaks drop before i pull on her, if it's as big as the beta testers say it will be then it might be more worth it to wait anyways

I might get Baal because I don't like Fishcl, but I think I'll go for constellations on reruns but switch to weapons over characters reasonably soon.

So you guys haven't heard anything new about the upcoming anni? Only leaks I get are from Wangsheng and it feels like it's been a long while since anyone's mentioned it (besides "IT'S GONNA BE BIG, GUYS"). Just a lot of fantasizing across the board. I hear a lot of people begging for a free pick between the standard 5*s, but at this point I'd welcome artifact selector tickets (with choice substats) or a 5* weapon pick more.

it will turn out scaramouche is the hat
Poor guy is smaller than anyone ever imagined. Always thought that hat looked awesome, kind of like a fantasy spin on Japanese straw hats for monks. Not sure what's up with Genshin and the little shorts they put on the younger males, though.

they might reset the bonus for crystal packs (so you get double again), apparently they do it for honkai, or some other games do it, can't remember.

for anything else I keep my expectations low, can only be positively surprised this way. doubt they'll ever make artifact RNG much easier, at the end of the day when you got everything else maxed grinding for more artifacts is the only thing to spend resin on really. as much as I hate RNG I understand it's their lazy but simple solution. personally I'd be fine if they up some limits like resin cap and number of condensed, then split artifact slots up over days like talent books etc, easily done but now you can go HAM for a specific type without having other slots crap up your loot table. you'd still need to log in every day to convert resin, but now you got control and choice when to spend it on what.

genshin only has 5 different models, adult male/female, teen male/female, loli. apparently jean/barb's dad is more the bara type according to the description ("tall" but I doubt he's a lanklet), we gonna have to wait and see if that ever becomes playable.

Resetting the crystal bonus would be pretty sweet as they're a rip-off otherwise, even with the pity system in place. And I like those fix ideas; I remember when players started realizing how cancerous the resin cap was before they slightly increased it and added condensed (condensed are a god-send and I'd love more).

Yeah, the number of models are limited. The heights are all slightly variable though, and each sculpt has anatomical differences. Looking forward to sizing Scaramouche up with the others lmao.

A bara dude would be interesting. Do you mean like the blacksmith body type?

they probably assume people are impatient enough to open their wallet to buy new resin to farm on a specific day, which oddly artifacts don't have, so it doesn't make much sense. at this point people either have enough shit stashed or can farm it easily enough (char gems still take the longest, but those are always available too). condensed was inevitably tho since it's the easiest way to give players resin they can use however they want without having to mess with caps and rate, other gatchas have a similar system I think.

right now what pisses me off the most is having to log in twice a day with the way the resin caps, which again doesn't make much sense unless there are enough players which are retarded enough to let their resin cap for half a day and then just buy more.

can't bring that up on reddit tho, they're already eating up the new weapon banner pity with "hurr mihoyo knows what they're doing they have the numbers". nigga if they're know what they're doing why did they have to change it in the first place? same for artifacts with "hurr if everybody gets perfect artifacts they gonna stop playing". what about all the other chars and the timeframe? fucking dipshits.

more like the beefy fatui, blacksmith is smaller than the adult male I think.

I have literally heard the exact opposite (being that her burst normals dont get boosted from the ER set/NO) and it works like that with other characters (like trying to use NO on Xiao) so I recommend waiting closer to release to confirm. Or just farm the set anyway since it seems good on so many supports. I need to eventually get it for Electro MC. Some people are using it with Xingqiu but eh, rainshield does so much damage I don't know if its worth the tradeoff unless you're struggling to keep his burst up.
I also heard they nerfed Kokomi's scaling but not 100% sure on that. I don't follow leaks super closely.

In other news I just blew 10 fragile resins + my last few days of natural resin on the VVD domain and I'm still missing an EM sands for Venti. Though I got a few nice upgrades for Jean.
I also did one run of the Pale Flame domain and ended up getting a flower that basically completed my Eula build (I have her at about 79% Crit Rate + 142% Crit Damage now. WGS so no crit on my weapon either). I still would prefer more Crit Damage but for now thats a good ass build I can live with. I don't really rely on cryo resonance with her since superconduct often overrides the cryo.

This hits hard. Would prefer the old banner while new one still retains pity counter but encourages players to blow money in one go. A "lucky" example had one pulling two spears before the guarantee in 114 pulls.
As for artifacts, even MHY put subsets for perfect substats (for example def will be always accompanied by def%, hp% and hp,) it will still take a good while to farm a perfect set. It also encourages further character diversification and more play styles (more money)

Cope through pain, leddit.

What's at the edge of Teyvat? What is Teyvat?

Is it like some floating continent thingy?

If it weren't for Paimon's silly game rules, this would've been prime opportunity to put together an expedition party of Kaeyas.

Some games with randomized gear systems give out artifact tickets on special occasions where you can pick a few of the substats on a single chosen gear piece, the rest still being random rolls. I honestly wouldn't mind Genshin doing this once in a blue moon, because it doesn't cut the grind by too much and people can still use them to build whatever they want to try.
