So I decided to go for the Eula banner since I was close to the pity (and due to the samurai character being both a guy and having EM as his level up attribute, major yikes), and I got cuc-keqing'ed (and Rust which goes straight to Fischl). Not terrible since I was looking for another dps and she'll do it nicely, she can also fit better as physical dps than diluc, and there's the fabled electro buff. Plus at least in her chapter, Eula isn't that impressive except her burst doing insane numbers.

And I like twin tails far more than short hair.
 
Got a Widsith today and I'm really glad about that, my only other good catalyst was the Sacrificial and sort of the Solar Pearl but that's cheating. Can finally make a solid Mona after having her from day 1.

edit: i got qiqi'd, and i'm so upset because she's the one character i absolutely did not want or need. at least i'm guaranteed, but at what cost...

desire sensor is a thing.
fwiw I think qiqi would work well with eula (resonance + heal), but haven't really looked at the setup since I don't have either of them.

I saw his leaks and he looks to just create a death zone for enemies, which a bunch of other characters already do. I like Eula but mine isn't really finished yet, she scales hard off 5 star weapons and premium artifacts and has a high skill ceiling.

The event would be better if there were a bigger variety of characters.
 
After finally finishing the weapon set for Hu Tao (holy shit it took forever to get an HP increasing artifact) it's pretty noticable how she melts pretty much everything that isn't pyro resistant. However, what I noticed is that she has a lot of problems synergizing with other characters if you aim for top damage. Her first problem is that she can't do pyro damage with a short delay unless you use her burst, meaning to get the most of an ameno party member you need to have a second pyro char on hand. Her second problem is that you need to be very careful with healers since you don't want to get above half health, a shield character is preferable but you don't have a lot of options.
So her best 4 star team is Hu Tao, Xingqiu, Sucrose and either Bennet or Xinyan, both are non-optimal in their own way.

Diona's shields can reduce stamina consumption. C1Bennet may need as many non-hp artifacts to push his healing down, you would also want his base Atk as high as possible. There is also Xiangling with her pyro shred are nice choices for the last slot. Noelle might help too if she is geared.

Or replacing sucrose also, Geo shields team (ZL, Noelle, Albedo, Ning or travellers) + HT + XQ.
 
the best team i've made for my hutao atm is hutao, c5 xingqiu, c2 fischl, and zhongli. fischl is the greatest support for constant elemental reactions with oz. electro-charged + overload at the same time gives great constant damage

but tbh i have problems actually using bennett and other supports, i've had so many people tell me to use him but i just don't like him enough lol. he's sweet and all for what his hangouts are worth tho

I pretty much have 3 main DPS teams right now
Vape/Melt Diluc: Xingqiu, Chongyun/Bennet, Venti, Diluc
Geo + Double Pyro: Ning, Zhongli, Bennet, Xiangling
Permafreeze dps: Xingqiu, Chongyun, Barbara/Jean, Kaeya/Rosaria
Not really sure what my main Eula comp is gonna be given that she doesn't actually need SC given her innate phys resistance shredding. Eula/Rosaria/Diona/Fisch, seems to be the easiest one to do though and I already have Rosaria and Diona with basically finished builds. I've seen people do Eula, 1 cryo, 2 electro, or just throw in Bennet/Zhongli for the raw attack boosting.

I finally hit friendship 10 on Childe and I am so glad I can throw him on the forever bench, my scrappy Mona is already throwing out double his damage with his artifacts.
 
Did a fun first run on Azhaka and demolished him with HT, assisted by a low hp ZL and Albedo, less harder than imagined

On the other hand trying to put geo constructs on the water boss field is just sad.

Yeah I always bring Ningguang into the Oceanid fight and forget you cant put geo constructs on the arena. Super lazy and dumb, they should just make them crumble when the platforms sink instead of just removing them altogether.

Nice. I think I'm almost done with the "raise 12 characters to level 10 companionship" achievement. Just need a couple more.

At least the shield still procs, would suck if it required the steele to proc the shield. That match happened to have the flapping birds in it. Would be even better if albedo's flower remained, even if underwater.

Dunno about Tarta much, but a atk% sub stat Mona on NO and Widsith sometimes put out 15k on vape reaction, 5k regular charge and 88k nuke. Wonder that's good.
 
1.6 Trailer dropped, we get a boat minigame. It looks neat, hopefully it’ll stick around longer than a week or two.

Otherwise, I’m only surprised it took 6 versions for them to start adding costumes
 
Official reveal of Ayaka from the livestream. Even though we've known about her literally since the games launch still pretty neat to see her officially acknowledged

I'll probably empty out my primos and try to get Klee. Hopefully I can scrounge up enough afterwards to hit the coinflip on the Ganyu or Yomiya banner the patch after (according to leaks thats who we're getting anyway. Yomiya seems to basically be pyro Ganyu)
Also according to leaks Kazuha's banner will be absolutely busted. Rosaria, Bennet, Razor. If Klee empties my pity I'll try to get a couple cons for Rosaria.
 
Bennett is the only 4* I'm missing, and the one character I really want. Bennett, with my fully crowned Hu Tao will burst nuke everything while popping Mona's illusionary bubble. I'm excited. If I get Kazuha that's nice I guess, but already having Venti is enough for Anemo

Yeah if I hit soft pity(70-80) twice, I may be able to catch the guaranteed at the very end of her banner. I really dont want to be a double kleelet. So far Im unlucky with coinflips. Won with Venti, lost two others. Im at 0 pity after Eula but Ive been saving so long I still have about 85 rolls left. Will doubley suck if Im stuck on Kazookies banner with high pity and I cant get some rosaria rolls in.

I definitely recommend hunting down Bennet C1. Maybe save up your starstuffs for the next time hes in the shop.
Kazuha seems like a really interesting mix between Venti and Xiao, I dont know how he'll fair as a dps as only his burst will infuse his basic attacks with anemo but definitely a good sub dps/support
 
I’m debating not rolling for Klee, part because I already have her and she melts faces fine without any constellations, part because after getting Eula I want to try and stockpile for a while. Would it be nice to make the littlest terrorist into a better death machine, yeah, but at the same time almost all of my Klee deaths are from killing myself from everything being in fire...

Bennett is one of the best 4*’s in term of Support, just don’t C6 him - that constellation is kind a nerf to his effectiveness all things considered
