I was forced to listen to Ironmouse sing during the FFXIV concert and holy shit she sounds awful. I can't believe people were hyping her up as an amazing singer. More proof people who watch vtubers are terminally retarded.

Anyway, in Genshin news somehow Dottore returned to be murdered by the traveler again because that bitch doesn't know when to quit. Also we finally get the final Sumeru archon quest that was promised in the story trailer.

Some drama has hit NTE it seems, that Iron mouse v-cancer (and some others supposedly, don't care enough to check tbh) found out the game uses generative AI for little things like background billboards and such (thing I personally noticed but don't give a fuck about) and she dropped the game despite being sponsored and gave some generic anti-AI speech.

"Promoting gambling for kids is okay, but don't you dare use AI placeholders in your game".

I hope the devs will sue for breach of contract so all this fake grandstanding will have consequences.

I barely know anything about Ironmouse and therefore has next to no opinion of her.

More importantly I took a brief gander at the gacha sub and then the NTE sub and people's reactions are pretty night and day.

Appearently an English VA also spoke out about AI so....idk man, I play JP and I don't really give a fuck tbh. It's a slot machine for anime characters and yall are worried about AI.

The whole crux of their argument is that the devs "lied" about AI usage but I have yet to see anyone actually provide evidence of this lie. The only actual statement anyone from the team has put out is that they don't use it for "Core Assets" such as character designs.

Is the game perfect? No, definitely not. The combat doesn't feel as snappy as WuWa or Genshin although it definitely could be with some tweaks. The English VA is pretty wooden and the story is just kind of okay. It's still a mostly enjoyable game but WuWa and Endfield are way more polished as far as "not Genshin" open world gachas go. What it does do though is capture the urban fantasy vibe that ZZZ originally teased us with before going down the route of generic chinese fantasy like every hoyo game and most other chink-made gachas.

I also found out you can't steal random parked cars. BOOOOO NOT MY GTA. Not even my Saints Row

Except when you can? Because I fought some gangbangers doing crime and stole their motorcycle, but lost it because I got stuck on a staircase. Don't laugh.

You can steal parked cars but not ALL cars. The goons' Ducatis are the best way to get around for a long while.

Granted, the compensation for that is that you can summon your car or bitch boy scooter anywhere, anytime.

But the drawback is that cars will take damage, and you need to repair them occasionally.

Come on, NTE. HAVE SOME FUN, YOU FUDDYDUDDY!!

It's sad, but apparently it's tied to the gameplay mechanics of using the mechanic in your apartment, later you even get something to take less damage (only in races tho).

She's probably meant to be the MC replacement in combat. She is also a biker chick and uses the bike in her ult.

She's one of the best starters in the game at the moment. But not getting a free bike with her annoys me, seriously, my girl Mauvika at least came with her bike instead of it just her being a biker aesthetic.

There's actually a pretty melancholic & somewhat bittersweet side-story in the game, & goddamn those distract a lot, in a good way tho.

Also I somehow stubbornly managed to unlock a teleport waypoint at the top of a tall fuck you building and I don't think you can possibly reach it without Nanaly who can run on walls without using stamina. Jesus.

Why couldn't Nanaly be the poster girl? She might be a little annoying but she's way more tolerable than teal cat bitch, Mint even if she too looks like a budget Vtuber. She has admittingly grown on me

Apparently it has a fuck-ass amount of parkour that can only be precisely done on PC. Funnily enough, you can technically skip the entire parkour part by just gliding to it from far away.

Granted, I can't do the obby on phone cause my phone is old & even cutscenes look like this.

I'm serious when I say it takes 8 mins for the game to actually load the start menu. Unironically plugging in, turning on the PC, & opening the game there is quicker.

The only reason I could sustain the parkour for the halfway point despite running the game on 15-20 FPS is due to my Roblox obby skills from long ago.

This NTE outrage over AI is ironic to me cause Mihoyo uses generative AI and promotes it but they have very high good production on top of it and quality control so if you never notice the AI.
