It bugs me more than it should. Especially since her fluffball form actually wears a full-on hat and I am disappointed that they skimped on Alice's head so much.

Although, how much are you willing to bet that it's like a Morrigan/Lilith situation from Darkstalkers, where Klee is actually a sentient piece of Alicee's soul or something?

Next one is Fia/Mithril later this month, a flamethrower/railgun tactician, after that it's (I think) Rosa XD and her mech.

For HSR I would recommend that if a cutscene doesn't look interesting to you within the first 10 seconds, to press the skip button and read the summary, and if it doesn't look like anything interesting happened in it (80% of the time nothing interesting happens) then to just go ahead and skip. For Amphoreus, most of the exciting stuff happens in 3.1 through 3.4, particularly 3.3 and 3.4. After 3.4, the story really falls off a cliff. There are a couple neat cutscenes in 3.5 but overall you can just skip through most of the story to the end if you want.

The thing is that ascendant gleam by itself does nothing but enable the nodkrai sets and enhance nodkrai kits that then nerf wild hunt revive. Aino+Jahoda don't do any lunar damage so if they're the only nodkrais all lunar bonus from their C6 and the sets is wasted.
Their best role is being a cope second lunar for your nodkrai 5* but even in this single scenario where Jahoda helps a flins without ineffa and columbina, Aino is free anyway. At least Jahoda is still a usable VV bot + healer without a 2nd lunar which is more than Aino and iluga can say.
Dean is considered thrash tier because he can't manually aim his attacks and needs to kill fodder to generate stacks so he's bad for low turn blitz but i don't think he sounds that bad. His mech has great stats and good on any 2 hander, later there will be a heavy sniper (paloma) who can use it but the rainbow effect is defensive.
Like dollar said, next patch should have Fia, she's a tactic railgun + flamethrower who can plop a "turret" on the floor that redirects flame attacks and she applies many debuffs with flame attacks. Her mech is unnecessary if you got Pascal.
Next ones are definitely shinji, asuka and rei.
The january patch has to be the evangelion patch with Shinji, Asuka, Rei, you can see the crossover cassete shop saying January will give us a free pilot (shinji). The mechs are limited so if you get one copy you can never rainbow it so go all or nothing. Better save enough to guarantee the pilots.
Oh yeah, here are some funny gacha news: Browndust 2, a nearly pornographic gacha, is officially not coming to steam. It's unclear why it's not coming but theories are it's because underage girls, AI use and bribing players with rewards for steamwishlisting.

I was specifically talking about Medium mechs for Deer to use his hard earned chips on.
For the Eva mechs I'm really hoping the upgrade boxes they give out can be used so I only have to pull 2 copies to get full rainbow for 02.

The flying bat is surprisingly the easiest boss. You can use Albedo or Zhongli or even Geo Traveller to have your melee characters reach the flying boss or use Fischl+Durin or Fischl+Yoimiya to break its Cryo shield while it's flying so it falls down. There's also yet another Jean cheese that lets her pull the boss down so that's two Stygians in a row with a Jean cheesable boss.
The Plunge boss gives you a 600% atk buff for 1.5s if you just jump so my Skirk was dealing 130k plunges and 300k on her n1 n2.
I actually killed Baptist first try with the Skirk team but then I needed Skirk to brute force the plunge boss. It took a few attempts to kill it with the Nefer team. He goes Electro Shield -> 3s stun -> Pyro Shield -> 3s stun -> Hydro Shield -> 20s stun -> Repeat. I had to make sure I ended each shield with Nefer to squeeze a few Nefer CAs during the 3s stun time and use Nahida Q Lauma Q during Hydro shield so Nefer can immediately start dealing her buffed CAs on the 20s stun window.
This footage isn't mine but here's the Jean trick. I think it's only possible on touch controls and mouse and keyboard so rip controller users.

I tell people this all the time. I have always avoided all kinds of social media since before myspace was a thing, and it seems to legitimately have been the best decision I ever made in my life.
While the people I talk to regularly would deny that they're a part of the "community" or "fandom" for any given hoyo game (or any piece of media for that matter), they sure do love to send me pictures of how social media thinks every tiny thing is the end of the world. Even if they mock it, wallowing in posts about how a character is bad because they don't match someone’s turbo-gay headcannon, can't zero cycle in HSR, can't top 1% in ZZZ, or have too low a melanin count can't be healthy for you. From an outsider to social media looking in, it legit seems like these "fandoms" don't even enjoy the games they play.
Sure all these games have their problems, but these "fandoms" appear to have completely forgotten the simple fun of unwinding for an hour after work by running around the world as a bouncy cow, shooting some doods with a gunbrella, trying to beat your own score in deadly assault, or zipping around Rinacita on a stick cardcaptor style.

Managed to clear this stygian on level 5, thank god it wasnt too frustrating.
First team was definitely the hardest, and i had to keep retrying until i got the rotations perfectly. Attack elec shield with ayaka, then pyro with neuvi. Burst with ayaka before hydro shield then furina then escofier then unload with neuvi. Actually had to switch ayaka to fabonius sword. Boss is cancer mind you but that was surprisingly fun. I guess skirk can just yolo.
I tried the Jean trick and kept fucking up so i must be doing something wrong. Did arle overload and it was a bit tight but effective. I tried venti and didnt get how he's supposed to counter this boss.
Tried GaMing but his damage simply can't keep up with the boss hp and energy issues. Mavuika bruteforce worked tho, fucked the rotations as usual but it was enough. Don't know if i hate or love how much skirk and mavuika bruteforce this mode.
Fia is medium tho, thus why i mentioned. Her mech isn't notably good as it only gives more dmg on debuffs so pascal is fine for the reload. In this game you will need pratically 20 pilots for armed conquest so more pilots early who can reuse mechs are useful.
That's the recommendation actually. I've been saving every blank upgrade kit i got from events and rouletes to upgrade 2 copies of EVA-2 to gold 2, put both on gold 3 with upgrade purple parts then rainbow. The problem is that ST banner mech pity increases every copy even if you lose the mech... So a worst case scenario two copies mech can cost 90 + 120 + 150 which is absurd.
Apparently in china if you spend 550 rolls in eva banner you get 3 shinjies and one EVA 1 on gold 2. Then another shinji given for free and another eva 1 + kit for playing the event missions, so one can get A3 shinji + rainbow eva 1 for """free""". Global will probably be the same.
If Varka doesn't have a beard, no one in this game ever will. At least his model looks a real adult man as opposed to someone who can pass as an anime teenager.
People fawn over Wrio but his design goes a long way to trick the player. The coat masks the slim shoulders, the gloves cover the arms and the thick boots hide the scrawny legs, so he doesn't look as bad as itto and haitham.

MHY gave a few patches of facial hair to Gallagher and thought "Never again".
I am remembering some weird-ass comments on Alhaitham's Genshin wiki page where someone was calculating the shadows on his arm to debate how buff he was. I don't have Itto, but I could imagine his abs look like those grafted abs pooners like Ellen Paige get.
Also funny that you mention the boots because I think the boots do the exact opposite. They exaggerate how fucking noodly his legs are. It has always looked really fucking weird to me.
You know, when you put turquoise next to green, it looks blue, and when you put it next to blue, it looks green?
Yeah, Wrio looks like a baby next to Varka.

I'm pretty sure Klee's dad has already been mentioned before in passing a few times. Recent updates with alice talking seem to bring him up less though that's probably due to him just not being relevant to whatever goings on are happening lore wise at the moment.
The hat thing also bothered me too, as well as the lack of adventure gear given Alices' whole thing being hyped up since klee's introduction was klee's parents both being well known adventurers.
See, i thought the same thing until I realized that no, that's actually part of her hair stuck up like a feather to imitate the top of a hat
I don't know that whole thing looks physically agonizing to wear.
Also noticed in this update's archon quest there were a lot more hand-holdy dialogue bits during the dungeon segments which really feels off given how far into the plot of a 5 year long open world exploration game we're running. I'm guessing that's an addition for the brainlets who don't actually focus on playing the game. YES I KNOW THE ORB UNLOCKS THE DOOR WE DID THAT BACK IN INAZUMA WITHT HE KEY SHARDS AND EVERY COUNTRY SINCE HAS HAD A VARIANT OF THAT MECHANIC STOP FUCKING TELLING ME WHAT I CAN SEE ON THE SCREEN
