Afaik it's only 1 patch. And there is no top off reset either. This would be easier to stomatch if it was the anniversary at least you could bundle all that stuff together, like the archer cone.

But hey at least it changes her burst animation so trailblazer is there to hold her hand thats nice right?

Must be sunk cost fallacy or legit unhealthy addiction. Nowadays i only log for a week to get 10 fates and leave, which is more than it deserves to be honest.

They're REALLY banking on the honkai 3 elysia reputation to carry this. It's a litmus test to see how dumb a star rail whale can be.

Anyway, i decided to retry theater before it's over aaaand i got it! ALL of it!

(Itto, gorou, varesa were trial version. Lauma was C1 from a random friend)

Some lessons learned and tips here
-Going beyond 28 requirement is absurd but worth it. I used all my avaiable units (even razor and lisa) and 1 guess and reached 31/32. Getting that +90 coins and stats makes the early 3 stages a lot easier, especialyl for trial itto.
-It's hitting me how bad itto and gorou are. I know they're trial version but trial varesa can kill stuff fine and her build is thrash going to 116 crit rate. You really want to spend him+gorou early as possible because he is not beating the geo mek.
-It also hit me how last time i used a friend C6 Cyno and had to reset to get him to help me beat asimon, when i should've used lauma. I didnt get lauma this time but i got zhongli/yelan/xinqiu/fischl and attacked with zhongli who cleared faster but was stronger team. Cyno c6 definitely aint carrying this boss.
-Lauma is silly strong what. My friends lauma isn't even well built and is using event weapon, but the shred and dendro alone makes her good as hell for neuvilete.
-You're gonna need the units, the investment, the luck and the management. There is no sugarcoating it. You want furina for the fire dino. You want Navia+xilonen/zhongli for golem. If you have Lauma you can completely cheat Asimon, but you still need to get lucky to get her early from a random pick. Better save neuvilete for the arcana mob stage (they spawn 2 by 2 within beam distance).
-You actually WANT to get some weak units because you need to waste them on the easier stages. I had to pass neuvilete early for barbara cause i couldn't afford to spend him early.
-Shit will probably go wrong once or twice, rewind or retry from the start if you can afford the patience.
-Stages are NOT balanced and memorization of mobs for rerolling goes a massive way, but if play theater you know this. If you get monolith defense against natlan robot it's a free win as you can just distract a single one for 3 minutes (i used ayato, charlote, itto gorou). Do not pick fights you cant win.
-Try to do the arcana stages before the final boss and stack as much reaction buffs you can. Remind you that they still give you money+character (it actually saved me by getting me furina).
-Don't sleep on reaction buffs in case it wasn't obvious. Level 3 increase all reactions and level 4-5 buffs are fairly strong, the problem is afford it in between having the right units.

That could've been more frustrating but it was okay. Dare i say fun even. Gives me a real #senseofprideandachievement unlike stigyian. Also nets me an extra elixir which is goooooood (i never used any till this day),

btw there was skin leak for zani for the wutherers.

Mecharashi: Holy hell my ST's are underleveled for the missions I'm trying to do. Drops being limited driving me nuts getting 1-2 levels after 5 runs.

Also Frida get. My wallet will be crying when Eva comes around.

Have you bought the event boxes? I recommend saving the boxes and open then as soon as you unlock a new "power spike thereshold", meaning those levels where you get much stronger level ups. These are usually the levels where you require a new mat.

For example, going from 60 to 61 is a new box and it's a spike level, so open boxes of that and try to get everyone on level 61 instead as that is way much cheaper AND stronger.

I will probably unlock level 67 in 2 days and put my best STs on 66 with the boxes i got from events.

I don't know if hoyo is trolling but they literally just teased him the same way they tease new playable characters and some people are freaking out since Rerir is, you know, an evil guy who is directly responsible for deaths.

While he's not in the beta or anything, Dainsleaf was also teased like this and was confirmed to be playable eventually in the far future so...

I generally like the aesthetic of the game. Space fantasy, Xianzhou is pretty unique IMO, great battle animations, likeable characters, easy to play, neat event minigames. So in that regard, $5 for a monthly sub is pretty cheap especially if you use discounts. However, it is very shitty that the combination of poor game design and no real meat to the game outside of the main story and then the HP inflation endgame means that you are strongly incentivized not to just pull for the characters you like, but to instead pull for preset teams, which isn't fun. And ofcourse it turns into autobattle shenagains where you alt+tab out as they take 10+ minutes to clear an endgame fight, or do daily farming.

Also that domain puzzle event is cute. So glad it's not fucking Co-op. I had a dreadful feeling when I saw it for the first time but it's not co op so thank God!

Duet Night Abyss releases in two days...for us dirty eurobeats. It's not technically gacha so I am wondering if I should just create a seperate thread or ramble about it here.

Regardless I plan to give it a go.

Genuinely what was going through their minds when they decided to do this? Even if they wanted to pander to the whales as much as possible this decision makes no sense at all. I'm not asking to be awarded 6 trillion primos by mail but cmon man this is just insane
 
Okay gave up on trying to reroll CZN, I wanted at least two 5 stars but it just takes too damn long that I'm just growing angry at the game. I got China Girl and nearly all 4 stars, which seems good enough. Especially as DPS units are fated to be power creeped anyways.
