Playing more mecharashi and redoing dozens of the same stage manually is hitting me how the PC version is lazy and the game lacks basic quality of life. The only button on keyboard that does anything is the arrows that spin the map view, you cant do anything with buttons so if i want to cancel something i have to drag the screen away from my unit click on a blank space but then i accidentally click on someone else. There is no right click to cancel either, this is a mobile port with zero effort.

Once you start a mission you can't change gear or pilots during deployment, you have to retreat, then go to the hangar then open the garage or pilot menu. You can go to the pilot menu from the garage but not the reverse. Another is how during mission you can't see in depth stats for you or the enemy at all. Meaning i have no clue what is the enemy mech passive at all.

It sucks cause there is a real fun singleplayer game here that is severely harmed by low budget low effort mobile chineseness of it. But i'm still not done yet. Still cant do the next story mission due to my acount level, probably tomorrow.

For mechs passives (You or an enemy) click on them twice, shows talents/attacks/weapon ranges. Above their name if they have buffs it will show what they have and for how long.

Needing to exit a battle to rearm a mech is a pain in my ass for sure. My big complaints are pressing escape anytime it is not your turn quits the game. Your main force having red dots saying they can equip chips when the chips are not appropriate (i.e. light mech chip bonuses showing up for med or heavy mechs.)

Yes game, this is the perfect chip for Sylvie who never uses her shield.

Also: Seven's robot is an enemy magnet. I've had enemies not finishing off my mech to go shoot it instead.

Omfg, between this and Manato, tf is going on over at MHY?

If Danheng terra really is free then i think it makes sense he's getting nerfed and forced into a more niche role because they aint given a 5* sustain that has unique strong different synergy on DoT, Break, Carry, Follow up, etc teams.

Ratio and Archer were free and good (ratio for his time) but note how both are very simple single target dps with limitations, both are niche. DanTerra would force future units have to be balanced around him and hoyo would rather cut his tail off.

Manato... probably never stood a chance. Did ZZZ hype any other badass male character since 2.0? Cause if manato was "the hyped one" then it's not looking that hopeful...

I know that but it doesn't show real detailed stuff like pilot stats or mech SET passives. On arena enemies are playable pilots with S rank mechs and S tier weapons and you kinda have to know before hand what their bonuses are. On clearance bosses have weird unique weapons that only exist for them too. You can't see enemy AP regen and no indication of how many hits a weapon does and if it splits between parts (some turrets are single part, others are exlposive?).

Like, the hardest boss of clearance two has a "mine dispenser" but how tf does it work? You just have to find out it places 5 mines in a cross that deal 45% hp damage but then why does it have dmg numbers in the weapon? Is it a "rifle" (2-4 range)? He can't even shoot back with it so why is it a "gun" and not backpack?

The 2 sub bosses in clearance 3 have an "amplifier" backpack, what does it amplify? I assume damage (i have an amplifier ballistic bp) but he keeps buffing the boss so he's a support meaning it increases his buff? Does the buff need the backpack to work? If so then why are the buffs completely different (rocket and sniper)? How much other stats do these backpacks give?

Call me overthinking autist but i don't like this nonsense in my strategy rpg lol. Feels like i'm playing a SNES-ps1 game that doesn't explain shit. Like some dude pops with a magic ring and you have to guess what it does.

That's really bad, another is how the rewind button is a tiny icon on the left side that you CAN click during enemy turn but only when the enemies aren't moving. I don't think it would kill them to map a keyboard button for it. It's bizarre that the only QoL in the options is the option to not ask you if you're sure you want to end your turn without attacking an explosive barrel in front of you.

I don't get chip recommends at all, it seems to prioritize extra passives being usable more than the main stat which is insane.

1756255637531.webp

Here the game highlights for Dana a melee bonus chip she can't use because the extra fits her being medium mech. Same with silvie highlighting melee chips over the sniper ones and then Kaidan highlights the sniper chips.

This is like if Genshin auto-equip put Raiden on a cryo set instead of emblem because the pieces there give more energy.

Also: Seven's robot is an enemy magnet. I've had enemies not finishing off my mech to go shoot it instead.

I know right everyone fucking hates that thing. At first it's annoying as it dies fast and doesn't counter but you can go heal someone and it will die for them or even bait a rocket or boss to aproach. Fun fact, the robot can control missile turrets too. She's not a huge upgrade from grant but her gimmick is more fun to play. I recommend getting her AoE heal skill early as possible.

edit: btw did you get dreadtalon? I think the farmable light mechs are good on silvie so i'm skipping it for now (twilight fang gives big dmg bonus for different weapon types, it's made for marcus and kaidan but silvie can use it).

edit2: this fucking invisible unit bug that happens whenever i want to move units around is agravating. Using the stamina item also shows the text in chinese and i assume the global server had no QA.

On the Manato thing: people forget that these games are about collecting waifus. They are going to focus on the girls. Its at the point where even Genshin does this because it's not making the same kind of money it used to (which I'd also argue was because they focused on "husbandos" and neglected the waifus for a fucking year). Its also not like he was that important to the story. He appears as a friend to the miners in 2.0 and then, in 2.1 is basically the guy who hangs out with Yuzuha and Alice. He was never this massively important character. But people gassed themselves up and assumed he was going to be an S rank because he didn't release in 2.1 when what actually happened is he needed to come out with the Rapture support. Its a bunch of people who didn't realize what game they are playing complaining the game is catering to its money making audience.

>But they would have made so much on him
They already saw what happened with Lighter and Hugo. They know better not to trust Twitter over their actual sales reports.

I did. Now the downside being I can't upgrade it much since I can't farm upgrade materials for it. Doing regular stages (Up to like 3-5) hoping to get some mats. Ended up getting Rosa super early as well, she's fun but so damn fragile with a low level mech. Right now running Rosa, Emily, Seven, Sylvie, Dana and enjoying it. Slightly annoyed how the auto-battle works with snipers. They will always shoot off limbs (starting with arms for for raiders/snipers/shoulder mounted ST's, or legs for melee ST's) even if they can one shot the mech.

Looking at the upcoming characters I think I'm going to save until the Evangelon crossover while tossing mech pulls on whatever happens to come along

In all fairness, Hugo was before Yixuan, a highly anticipated character. It's kinda what I assumed happened to Cipher as she was right before Phainon. I believe Lighter was before Miyabi as well. I am going to assume that they wouldn't have been such flops has they not dropped before the one that was hyped for ages.

Or maybe I'm just overdosing on copium. Man I'm just sad that Manatos kit sucks.

Got to test HSRs Stygian Onslaught. Also got to use DangTank and ColdMarch.

The fact we only get one limited tank per year so far and each of them scales with a different stat for the sake of limiting cone options is both sad and funny. There is literally no preservation cone that gives atk for tankheng. Watch the next 5* preservation scale with break completely unironically.

Don't worry too much, i'm stuck on 3-7 for 3 days because it won't let me play until i level my account it's impossible to rush. Clear the first stage on S rank and sweep 4 per day to get those mech mats, the second is a lot harder to S rank, make sure you start it while very strong and kill the healer mech in 1 turn. If you have an AoE unit they should be good (I think Rosa has railgun techs and gumusay has aoe swings).

I don't trust auto, snipers keep wasting aimed shots.

The evangelion crossover should be in like 1.5 which is theorized to come around January. If you want the full trio and their mechs better save but there is time. I think asuka is the best one for pve as shes a melee unit with long range spear throw and aimed jump attack for mobility.

On the Manato thing: people forget that these games are about collecting waifus. They are going to focus on the girls.

Manato was shown in the 2.0 reveal so people thought he would be S rank consideirng the panda wasn't.

Regardless a male 5* doesn't need to make be a sucessful banner to "make money" because cultural presence is valuable. Kaveh is garbage unit but there is certainly a lot of official merch of him and haitham that people buy. ZZZ needs at least some token guys and fujos or else there is no women making fanart.

Hoyo seems to not care about ZZZ rn because they marketed Flins on gamescom and i already saw a lot of "Genshin husbandos are back i will play it again!!" and man, no wonder these people get scammed, they have no standards at all.

Lighter was made incredibly strong as he reduced Fire and Ice resistance, so if you wanted strong teams, he was the character to pick up. Him being close to Miyabi shouldn't matter since these Husbando people should have favored him over her. But they didn't. Same for Hugo. In fact, he was the fujo character as his best team was Lyacon and Lighter. You didn't even have to put a girl on your team.

This is always been a problem. The Husbando people NEVER spend on their characters where the waifu people absolutely do. Genshin found this out the hard way when they tried to appeal more to woman. They had a whole year of male banners and the ones that actually did well were the ones with the female reruns. This hurt them later because they had no back catalog of girls to rerun and had to try and sell new ones to a dwindling player base. The end result was powercreep to get you to stop using 1.0/2.0 girls.

Panda was in the trailer. The only characters that are coming out that weren't shown are the new Spook Shack ones and technically Seed Jr.

Kaveh is already a 4* in Genshin so it shouldn't be an issue. What you said is why they added characters like Manato. ZZZ had a far bigger male/female playerbase than Genshin and HSR and it doesn't make the same kind of money they do. So they can't just throw around S rank dudes like those games can. Even in Genshin fall off, they can still have a 5* guy once in a while, something ZZZ can't afford.

If you ask them, it's because they skip liberally and hoard pulls for the male characters. There were people on Hoyolab who had saved 100+ pulls for Manato. Suppose it's a self-fulfilling prophecy.

I personally spend on the fuckers I want, male or female. When I spend becuase I am stingy. I did spend to get Aanaxa and Jiaoqi, and Phainon's LC and Lighter's W-Engine. Spent on Kinichi and Kazoo, too.

Found out how the mecharashi module system works and it's both brilliant and greedy as fuck lol.

When you rank up a 4* mech twice it unlocks a purple module slot that you can place and remove any modules you have. 5* mechs are different because they start with a purple module slot and upgrade it to a gold slot after 2 rank ups (a dupe and 2 random 5* dupes or 5* upgrade mats).

The modules themselves are basically condensed passives of the mechs into an acessory, that you make by literally scrapping the full mech into 4 modules. Purple mechs make purple slots and gold mechs gold slots. But purple mechs cant use purple modules at R1 and gold mechs cant use gold slots at R1 meaning you need more of those mechs.

1756326780481.webp
(fun fact: This bubbly girl is voiced by Skirk's VA and now i find it uncanny)

This is like if i could scrap a 5* weapon in genshin into a weapon mod with it's passive but the only weapons that can equip it are other 5* weapons at R3. It's very whale baity but on the good side, it means there is no "waste" as you can use anything to upgrade/module others. A good module simply lasts forever on your account.

At worst you're an f2p player who has no idea how this works and scraps their 5* mechs (there is no way to manually lock parts either so i can see someone finding out the hard way). There is no warning or ARE YOU SURE? prompt either.

I also finally got the free event mech after farming the same mission forever. I'm free! It's a healer mech that gives 15% dmg bonus to someone you heal with an active skill, not game breaking but probably universal enough.

1756333002863.webp

(the "head" is assimetric and more to the left so it's kinda ugly)

Still stuck on account level and it might take one or 2 days to unlock next stage. This game gatekeeps your progression really hard, it's not something you can pay to bypass either. I'm fine with it tho, now that i don't have to rush i can keep it as b-game and do my daily sweeps and leave until i can do more.

Tomorrow is the next version and they will banner for the first chapter villain giant muscular army guy, and it's weird how the guy is like, EVIL villain who explicitly doesn't give a fuck if civilians die. I respect the boldness.

Raise your thinking emojis and make your bets. How bad will this age too?

Genshin Livestream will be 1H 45M so it's going to be LONG and probably feature the new UGC "Roblox mode".

Question: is the game worth playing? I need a new side game

It got me addicted really bad for a few days and now i'm finally slowing it down, so it must've done something right. I like strategy rpgs but ironically can't finish them nowadays as they're too slow, while this one is compact enough for fights to not never take too long and quick to restart.

That said, it's a STRATEGY - MECHA - RPG so you better love those 3 things first or else you might get bored. The story is a mish mash of cliches with a bunch of factions whose name i can't remember trying to kill each other for whatever reason. The game is low budget and only the main numbered chapters are voiced (apparently they aren't voiced from chapter 5 fowards wow), everyone is a single png portrait swaying, sounds and songs are mediocre (this game inspired me to emulate front mission 3 and holy shit that game sounds good), etc. Maps are really basic and small so far. Lacks some basic quality of life and keyboard controls so a lot of clicking and dragging.

I like how the main campaign is actually hard and even the grind spots reward you more for playing fast. I'm sure a whale can bruteforce and grinding mech and pilot levels is mandatory to win but it still feels like a game you actually to think to optimize and you can't auto your way through or mash. Every action point, step, level, gear line up, etc. matters.

For example, to get a two turn clear in the first weapon farm with 3 bosses, i have to intentionally do exactly this order of moves

-position shotgun+ healer foward, then other dps and fast sniper behind shotgun and slow sniper behind healer
-move shogtun dps foward and attack the boss sniper with her machine gun on right arm (longer range)
-move the second dps, machine gun+melee and don't attack at all to save ap
-move the healer and attack the lancer to trigger the shotgun dps fololow up
-use the sniper to shoot the lancer and try to break at least one arm so it can't use it's AoE skill, meaning it swings at the shotgun dps and gets countered
-Move the fast sniper foward and aim oneshot the knuckle mob as he might block the path to the gate
-Position the heal drone within the enemy sniper range so he aproaches and shoots it instead of someone's legs
-next turn the lancer dies on the shogtun counter
-slow sniper double shoots the enemy sniper and hopefully kills it, if break a piece shoot again (healer and shotgun follow up atk)
-this opens the gate for the third boss, i use the healer aoe spell to give dmg bonus (5* mech power) to the other 3 dps
-I move shotgun first and use her enhanced skill, spreading a lot of dmg and debuffing his evade
-I move fast sniper within range and try to snipe one arm and keep the other low from shogtun follow up then shoot the head
-i move mg dps and shoot him, breaking the other arm, giving him an extra atk that he can use thanks to the extra ap saved.
-boss should be low hp, only body and legs alive, he attacks the shotgun due to lack of choice dying from the counter
-This counts as a 2 turn win so only 11 stamina is spent

Every other enemy in the stage is ignored. You simply cannot use auto battle to play like this. It makes me feel like an autistic low turn count speedrunner but also smart. I think the game is still is the game's real strenght as it wakes the minmaxer in you. There will be pvp for those who care about it too.

It should still be enjoyable casually due to the sweeps and progress cap. You can log in once, prepare dispatches for 10 minutes, play a stage for those 10 minutes then set the 4 hour dispatches, spend stamina on sweeps, log later to reset dispatches and more sweeps. When you have time, you can upgrade the mechs and try to optimize your farm spot turn counts, do some story stages, arenas, unlock more farm stages, do the endgame stuff i havent unlocked yet etc.

The gacha currency is more generous but banners more fast paced so f2p can probably get units often enough but not get everyone. There is powercreep but i think old units get added to banner loss or added to the shop that you can buy with the card from the card banner. Some 5* mechs are farmable from daily commisions (takes weeks?) and those give free weekly rolls. The battle pass gives old 5* pilots and mechs too. It's not the hoyo approach.

(i think they're speeding up to catch up with CN? At least they didnt fuck up like persona 5X)

There is a limited time 7 day login and 2 week challenges, if you do them some good free pilots and a mech and i don't know if they're permanent or not (it says limited days) so good time to start. And i legit don't know, the website is bad to navigate and doesn't explain shit of the event like rewards or time limit.
