Shitposting aside, I came across this post on the Gacha News Reddit some time ago and debated posting it here since it's probably just pouring salt in the wound, but the devs for Tribe Nine revealed future story chapters and upcoming characters planned before EOS.

Oh yeah, going through ZZZ's new hollow system. It's...well, it's not the worst, but it is a little cumbersome. Kinda annoying that you can't search for chests as you go through the story mission. You have to complete that one first before you can go out and explore freely.

Other than that, it feels....idk, there's something about it that both fascinates and bugs me. The hollows are essentially now Genshin's ARPG combat with Star Rail's hub worlds, but without much to do other than run around, fight enemies, get chests, and unlock teleport waypoints. Oh, and occasionally do those Bangaboo obstacle courses.

It feels weirdly homogenized with Genshin and Star Rail in a way that I can't decide if I like or hate becuase it just blends into each other. I kept thinking "Genshin Lite" or "Diet Coke Star Rail" when running through them. They are actually pretty massive. I'm not sure I like this change.

At the same time, I was thinking of that one Miyabi/Yanagi event where it's basically the two of them doing mini missions in what looks like the Copied City from Nier Automata.

Who knew it would essentially be what ZZZ would turn into?

because echoes aren't gated behind waveplates, exp and tuners are. if you could feed echoes the way genshin does artifacts, you could literally endlessly build artifacts.
it's not even comparable since you don't find 5* weapons lying around, everything up to purple is basically fodder.

up to fontaine, if you want a natlan set you probably have to wait till 6.0, if not longer.

it doesn't have to since the system works differently. imagine 5* artifacts are random drops (with pity) from mobs, but you can't use them for exp (that comes from extra items, which work exactly like essences). in return you can merge echoes which works like the strongbox, just giving you (unlocked) randoms from every set. biggest difference is you have to level them to see their substats, while in genshin it's easy to spot from the start (until all upgrades go into shit stats).

you can re-use echoes the way genshin does since you're already spend exp, so you're churning and feeding through your stock till you're limited by exp or money. it's more or less the same boring chore.
however since they're basically free and you have to level to see their stats, it's easy to fucking drown in them. and you can only switch the mainstat on unleveled echoes, so there's always the hesitation since you have to churn first, only then maybe change the remaining instead of farming again.

Yeah, i typed that sets have to be at least a year old, for some reason i deleted, you're right. Still worth for some sets that are awful to farm (CW) or share domain with a useless set (VV with maiden).

I've seen that one but didn't mention here. The devs actually had at least a year worth of content planned and the cancelled models are still in the files, even anniversary stuff. They're only dropping the story summary in japanese and i very much doubt the company asked them to do it but it's surprising they were allowed and did it.

Most gachas would probably not give a fuck, it's nice the tribe nine devs care enough to not their work be completely thrown in the fire.

The new hollow makes the HDD system, Fairy and Eous moot since now you can just waltz into it. So what was the point of the beginning of the story when you get Fairy? Speaking of which, we still don't know who she belonged to and what was her purpose and why was she in that box. She used to be pretty prominent, and now she's been relegated to a side character.

I'm pretty sure they changed the hollows because one of complaints that players had was that you couldn't see your Agents like you could in Genshin and HSR. That also ties to the removal of TV mode.

The HDD system has become collectable leftover simulator. It's essentially side content now. Which is......a thing.

She's not even a side character. She's completely phased out of the plot entirely and basically exists as Siri. Because they changed the plot so much that it's now US the proxy that's the special one. Not Fairy. Fuck Fairy. What's a Fairy?

The core of what ZZZ started as resembles its current form less and less.
That's astounding. What an impressive identity crisis.

The changes aren't perfect either. The hollow zones are way too big and the characters don't really feel like they meant for this pseudo open world game design.

I said to myself I'll stick around because the core gameplay is fun but I don't love this new direction of the game when it's just turning into their other games but not as well designed.

How long before ZZZ suffers another DID moment?

Actually is absurdly large hubs going to be the new norm for HSR and ZZZ going forward? 3.0 OF HSR has this exact same issue where they provide litteral speed buff items to make it faster to traverse.
 
Ngl the moment I saw Lauma's design here I ran to the leaks subreddit to see the seething from the fat women/gay retards, and sure enough they're doing the classic crying about the character not being a man, boobs too big, too much skin, etc etc. Is this the "safe horny" thing that pervades the internet nowadays?

I personally do think this character looks weirdly close to Dan Heng IL, but it's always hilarious to see redditors who can't stop seething in gacha game subreddits also acknowledge their inability to quit their addiction to the game.

Also Got Yuzuha. Now I'm wondering if I should get Miyabi's W-engine or get Yuzuha's because I don't have a good one for her. I have never been able to get Lucy's W-engine.

Also also I am quite retarded. For a while I ran 44111 echoes on my characters but I did some changes and I need to do 43311 more because Jiyan, Ciaccona, and Zani got a much-needed damage boost.

I don't care to min-max substats though so...

You kinda answer yourself right there, don't you? But at least their opinions (if they are playing) have some more value than the people don't play the game and complain about the game itself. Just more valuable, not necessarily actually really really really valuable.

At this point, I'm sure lots people on mainstream social media having gold fish memory. They (new generation or tourist) act like such thing never ever has happen before in their hobby/game. Like Genshin, somehow Sumeru or Fontaine are how the game intentionally designed, and not whatever something something very anime fanservice from Mondstadt to Inazuma never ever a thing.
I mean Varessa is very fanservice and is released quite recently. Da Wei crocodile tears "DA ROOTS" hasn't been a year yet. Or somehow bunch of followers from leak subreddit are that retards in trusting "leakers" fanfiction every time. The desperation for crumbs.

Couple of days back, 300 millions players (half is Chinese and half is Global). So if somehow online mainstream social Western communities still think their opinion being that much valuable? They are willingly being ignorant or retarded.

I think Lauma is pretty, I don't agree on idea she's being some kind of Wuwa reject because of her fanservice design. It's MHY "lazily" recycling design into a blender or "Chat gpt/AI" as people say these days. Lauma is like mixing Acheron hair, Ruan Mei colour tone and IL Dan Heng horns but with Deer theme instead of Chinese dragon. I'm not denying Lauma obviously sex appeal. But this time, her design is kind of lore accurate to mythology.
ZZZ Alice is a mix of Keqing (flashy zip-zapping sword) and Lynette. After ZZZ launches, they start more and more sharing design between each game. May or may not even copying from other games. It's Chinese, some "borrowing" or "inspiration" taking here and there. It doesn't really matter as long as they are at the top or most popular. Poor Alchemy Stars.

Varka really looking like the unholy son of Aventurine and Wriothesley huh. Flins look cool, i hope his gameplay is good and strong so i can take him over ineffa and that Durin is a good support but if anything it will be Alice who got hit with the genshin curse.

No Dottore in sight is... concerning. If they actually kill him and not make him playable i will be shocked but not surprised.

Also, the fact the only redesign change they did to Sandrone was shorten her skirt and give her detached sleeves (and probably exposed back) would be hilarious if it wasn't so lazy.
