I forgot warp trackers were a thing.

Tbf, I don't think I could have at least day 1 semi-build Carte without echo modifiers and abundant amount of overworld local specialty mats for Cartethyia.
Echo modifier is god-send for 4-cost echo. I can only need two 1-cost echo with double Crit stat for better tuning.
Are you doing 4/4/1/1/1 or 4/3/3/1/1? Lot of people are going the double 4 star to get their crit stats and HP

Both happy and sad about my cartethya pulls. On one hand, she showed up high 70s. On the other hand, I'm a lazy cunt and did a 10 pull, and in that same 10 pull I immediately lost a 50/50.

I'm poor, but I can't miss my next 5*.

4/4/1/1/1.
Even if not having her signature, then one of those 4-cost should have HP main stat. She gets a lot of Aero damage bonus from echo set, 4-cost Fleurdelys echo in the main echo slot and supposedly owning Cia and Cia's signature. Having two 4-cost with Crit as main stats are more beneficial if Carte has her signature.

All of Carte attacks are like multihit and have decent AOE, she can just kill stuffs in overworld in normal form by herself just fine. Assuming both Cia and Aero Rover have 4-cost echo Fleur then it's even faster killing group of mobs. Carte does fine even against aero-resist mobs, lots of them are in new zone Mournful Canyon. Kelpi as 4-cost echo for her is there too, it location is right exact at the zone name.
Her weakness is having really really really low defense stat scaling, taking damage is weirdly hurt a lot. New monster, Kerasaur is really annoying though.

Lots of small dragons as 1-cost for Carte in bottom left of Septimont, Border Mountains.
Edit: My Aero rover still uses Gust of Welkin, although having rover with healing set - turtle main echo slot is also fine too.
Edit 2:
Better idea of farming new aero set, 1-cost echo dragons are on left side. Mourning Canyon has more 3-cost (not really worth) and 1-cost Devotee's flesh in middle (city ruins).

There are some decent amount of permanent contents for this patch, so if willing to put some effort. Probably enough to get nearly 100 rolls worth.
I'd say be really picky with next few characters. For example, Phrolova might be good pair with Cantarella, then Augusta and Iuno. Very questionable leak is Galbrena (gunner) good with Lupa.
Edit: JP voice announcement
Augusta, Yoko Hikasa. ZZZ Evelyn and Genshin Emilie.
Iuno, Lynn - haugty oujo-sama type cast. G-witch Miorine, or someone may prefer the protag from Keijo. I see why now. Also, Genshin Columbina.
Phrolova, Saki Fujita - the Hatsune Miku.
Cristoforo (no stars so not playable like previous characters), Shirai Yuusuke, mostly love interest in otome game. I like him a lot as Crow from Bustafellows, a rare well-written nerdy guy.

Seeing Gacha get pumped out at the same rate as GaaS AAA Slop is rather funny - yeah, every new one will probably find a niche and a handful of whales to keep it afloat for a while, but I'd assume most are just chasing the dragon that is "Genshin"s Total Player Count is HOPW HIGH?!" without realizing Genshin's launch was lightning in a bottle or that people that don't have gambling addictions will pick like, 3 Gacha's at most to actually spend on.

At least Gacha is upfront about wanting your money and doesn't try to pretty it up with buzzwords. Or maybe they do, idk I can't read Chinese or Moonrunes
Genshin also released when

1-Gacha was a niche thing without much competition. Genshin was probably most normies first gacha game (like me).
2-It released around the start of covid where "free breath of the waifu" was prime for sucess.

Anyways, for some genshin round up news, the stigyian level 6 leaked fully and it's rewards, and it's cause a bit of ruckus out there. So in short.

1-Stygian onslaught 6 is pratically whale playground. Starting with no energy and enemies having 13, 15 and 17kk hp and stronger resistances and gimmicks. There is a reward for killing each boss in less than one minute (reminder you start with no energy) and a slightly worse reward (no glowy sfx) for killing each in 2 minutes max (this feels like last minute damage control).

2-The reward for clearing is what was leaked before. Weapon skins. They will override any weapon you're using and there a color for each element, including hydro claymore that isn't even in the game. If you clear below 60x3 timer you get a weapon skin with a glowy sfx. Note that you get ALL WEAPON SKINS AT ONCE, meaning 7x5 weapon skins.

3-The catch: These skins are temporary. They will go away the moment the patch end and you must obtain them again in the next cycle.

Needless to say, this caused a small uproar from people who were never getting them anyway calling it pointless now, while some still think it's too hard.

I'll say i'm surprised hoyo did this as they love FOMO so i genuinely expected them to be limited like the 4* event weapons. You can still feel bad and poor without them but you know it won't last anyway (me).

In extra news, the voice of diluc said the strike is still going for genshin voice actors beause genshin was never union actually, as they're still trying to make genshin go union (won't happen). This means many characters from striking VA's should stay unvoiced anyway.

They're not a strike but a "collective work refusal" (i dont think that's a real term).

As far as i understand, SAG VAs shouldn't be joining non union projects in the first place but a bunch got in genshin and now they're striking to pressure hoyo into going union. Let's pray all these freaks get replaced by britbong and non americans.

bonus: free code with 60 gems https://genshin.hoyoverse.com/en/gift?code=8QD412QXCEU1

Is “If VA’s don’t want to return to Genshin, then by this point just replace them” a fair statement to make? The strike is over (at least for now), so should Hoyo just say “fuck it, we ball. If you really aren’t coming back then the exit’s thataway” and get it over with? I do like a lot of the voices themselves for the English dub, but this can’t go on forever.
The heat death of the universe will come before Hoyo ever goes Union. Rip Sean Chiplock as Diluc I guess. How else will he ever commission his furry art?

Whenever the strike shifted from being about AI (if it ever really was about AI), I feel like Hoyoverse had the green light to go scorched earth. The only reason they haven't is because it seems like they want to maintain some internal consistency with character voices so they would have to rerecord every line for every character that's out on strike, which would be a massive slog. That's why it has been case by case replacements so far with most recasts centered around characters who had some major role in the latest patch. They probably want to keep the more popular VAs that aren't shitting themselves online so waiting it out is still in their favor. It'll just depend on who is a true believer in the cause and who has a brain and bills to pay.

The moment the reason for the strike changed to "Lets soft-blackmail hoyo until they sign with SAG despite not being union or obliged to do that" it became the fair statement to make.

Like Joe Zieja said, these people were simply not working out of choice, they were only trying to threaten hoyo into goign union. Even now with the strike officially over, some are still refusing to work, thus why it's a "collective work refusal" and not strike, these people have no legal power over hoyo right now.

I think the only reason hoyo didn't do a great replacement is because it would get some bad rep, it's a lot of people at once and some will beg to return once it's over. You can't just redub 90% of monstat in one patch but if it's only kinich it's fine, so they waited it out and see how many VAs will return naturally. Now they can go gull firing squad on the fewer who refuse to work again.

I like the english dub and enjoy it despite knowing the people behind it are douchebags (but then they are in the entertainment industry and pretty much everyone there is a douche and/or sexpest of some kind) but this has gone on for long enough. Hoyo might not want to do it because the time and money it will take to find new actors and re-record the lines of the people still refusing and then deal with potential player backlash but it is time for some "collective work replacement".

On the lighter side, I decided to give the chronicled wish a final spin. Wanted Ayaka, but got Kokomi instead. It will have to do as I'm not spending another potentially 90 wishes when Shenhe and Mavuika is around the corner.

I'm with ya there. VA's like Erika Harlacher-Stone give me hope because she loves Venti and was eager to get back to voicing him. If what she's saying is true he'll be voiced in the recent Mondstadt AQ as early as 5.7.
Allegra Clark (Beidou) has also posted about wanting to get back to work and how fucked the strike has been. It seems like a good chunk of the English voice actors DO want to keep their roles in Genshin, but the inner workings of SAG and voice actor politics are probably causing trouble. It sounds like some of them don't/didn't want to end up on SAG's bad side, but with each patch since about... 5.3(?) we've seen more actors returning.
There are some that're definitely still ride-or-die for SAG, but I hope that a lot of the ones that've stayed silent on social media are more levelheaded.

Sorry for all the voice actor talk. I'm just super invested in this topic.

I think I'm gonna drop Etheria. It's kinda boring.
  • I'm not a story player, but there's isn't much to keep me interested even in the basic lore.
  • Speaking of story, you can't progress much because it's gated. In order to continue chapters, you have to level up your player level. I need to be level 20 in order to keep progressing thought chapter 5 (or 6? I don't know and care).
  • How do you level up? By grinding! You can use your stamina to get modules (relics), Shells (Bangboos), Animu's experience mats, and GP (skill leveling materials).
  • Also speaking of stamina, everything costs stamina, even fights in chapters.
  • While the game can go to 3x speed, it still feels slow. Auto is slow. You can do continuous battles and leave the game in the background, but it's slow. This make farming a fucking slog.
  • Events suck.
  • Gacha sucks.
  • PvP isn't something you can skip, but you can do it casually I guess.
After a week or so playing, I feel like I haven't progressed much. I did get a bunch of SSRs but gearing and leveling is a fucking chore. Overall, I'm not having fun.

Finally going through the story in Star Rail and while The Death™ of Aglaea was super interesting, I can't help but be cynical about the fact that they are just gonna revive everyone and restore them back to normal. Also I want to punch Trailblazer. It's a wonder Dan Heng hasn't already with all the stupid shit that comes out of our mouth.

And yes, I did in fact get the "it's a date, Mydei" line

Barf.

Also there's still a fuck ton of yap.

Joke responses has always been a thing but they ramped that shit up for 3.x, it's kinda irritating.

For the first time in my life I whaled. I want to say I don’t regret it because I just love Chiori, but at the same time I feel like this has taken me down the road of gambling addiction. I definitely mustn't spend any money on crystals the next few months to clear my conscience.
